More insanity in California: Govt to give no-interest loans to blacks to set them up in marijuana sales

Just when you think California's politicians have gone as crazy as possible, they go one better.  From the Wall Street Journal:

On New Year’s Day, California became the ninth state to legalize cannabis for recreational use, but officials are worried that not enough blacks will qualify for the permits needed to sell weed legally.

Wait, did the Journal just say that "officials"--of course the reporter means "politicians" but knows that will get him barred from future interviews with the rat-bastards--"are worried that not enough blacks will qualify for the permits needed to sell weed legally"?

Yes, you read that right.  The totally moonbat, idiotic Democrat politicians in Los Angeles, Oakland and other Cali cities have actually devised a way to spend taxpayer dollars to "help more minorities become marijuana entrepreneurs.”  They've created what they grandly (and cunningly) call “equity programs” to offer no-interest loans and other perks to blacks.

And even better (from a vote-buying perspective), this taxpayer-funded pipeline to wealth will be open even to people who've been convicted of drug crimes.

If you're not black you'll find it a lot harder to get a state permit to sell marijuana.  But whites who apply can improve their chances of winning a sales permit by “incubating an equity applicant," which means giving a black person 50% of the business or 1000 square feet of rent-free floor space in your business.

Think I'm kidding?  Here's the San Francisco Chronicle--left-wing, ultra-liberal, so guaranteed to NOT make this program look dumber than it is:

Oakland’s cannabis ordinances require the city to give at least half of all available cannabis permits to people who were convicted of a marijuana-related offense in Oakland, earn an income less than 80 percent of the city average or have lived for 10 of the past 20 years in an Oakland neighborhood that saw a disproportionately high number of cannabis arrests. General applicants may also apply under the equity program by agreeing to “incubate” equity applicants by providing 1,000 square feet of free space.

If this strikes you as the sort of race-based government lunacy previously only seen in black-ruled South Africa, you haven't been paying attention to so-called "progressives."  The progs who dreamed up this program sold it as a way to compensate blacks, who have been the major sellers of illegal drugs and thus make up the majority of inmates for drug convictions.

To re-state that:  Because blacks violate drug laws, they're actually victims of the War on Drugs, and thus it's the responsibility of the law-abiding to compensate them, cuz they're victims.  Got it?

Coming next to California: free taxpayer money for black convicted thieves to assist them in their careers as wealth redistribution entrepreneurs.

Once again we see that liberalism is not just nuts; it is totally insane.  And rules the state of California.
