Orwell knew communism (socialism by a different name).  And he distilled it into two sentences: 

 

The Democrats and the entire U.S. Left wants Americans to ignore the evidence they see.  "Crime?  Not a problem, deplorable!  Crime in duh U.S. is NOT a problem, deplorable!  Yew jus' THINK it iz!  Cuz yew is stupid an' gullible!  Yew need tuh believe whut we an' duh Media tell ya!  Cuz we iz smaht."

Listen to Timmy Walz for ten minutes.  Listen to AOC, or Hakeem Jeffries, or Chuckie Schumer, or Nancy Pelosi, or mayor Brandon Johnson, or Muriel Bowser.  They absolutely SNEER at you and everything you believe in.
