Success of Mamdani and other socialists forces Democrat leaders to decide which way to jump
Zohran Mamdani is a Muslim communist. He supports increasing taxes on "the rich" to make more services--like public transit and daycare--"free" to his base. But surprisingly, this post isn't actually about him, but about the Democrat party.
Mamdani's win in NYC's June mayoral primary has put the leaders of the Democrat party on the spot: Do they endorse the guy and trust that their Media allies will assure voters outside NYC that the Partei [sic] does NOT actually endorse his ideas and policies (i.e. lie to cover for 'em), or do they stay quiet?
Partei leaders see their voters are starting to embrace socialism, because it gives 'em lots more free shit, so embracing Mamdani would keep all his supporters on the Dem plantation. But Dem leaders also know that embracing socialism risks losing a big chunk of independents who know how awful socialism really is.
Ooohhh, what to do, eh? To see which way the Dems will jump, let's see what the most experienced, cunning Dem consultants and strategists--Obama's people--are saying.
Media outlets report that in June Obama himself called Mamdani to congratulate him on his victory and offer advice about governing. Other Obama insiders like Jon Favreau and Dan Pfeiffer have also shown a keen interest in Mamdani.
Obama's chief campaign strategist, David Axelrod, went to Mamdani's campaign headquarters to meet the candidate, later saying "He's asking the right question, which is how do we make the country work for working people?"
Ahhh yes, the familiar line that "Democrats are *really concerned* about the average working stiff," eh? Except that's utter horseshit. The Dem party
* supports open borders
* has sued to block all deportations
* urges members to "demonstrate" to block ICE agents;
* wants to raise taxes
* wants taxpayers to pay for sex-changes for prisoners, school kids and retirees;
* demands that males be allowed to compete against girls in sports;
* demands more trannies in the armed forces;
* wants to defund the police and
* increase welfare.
None of which working Americans want the government to spend tax dollars on. But Axlerod ignores that and instead spouts the soothing lie that "Democrats are the party of the working class."
Axe says Mamdani inspires young Americans "who feel economic uncertainty acutely," and that the Democrat party needs to do the same.
The gush of approval by top Obama insiders suggests that the Partei is likely to embrace Mamdani and his policies, counting on the Media to spin that as "Democrats are NOT endorsing his policies! Nope nope nope, not at all, so don't worry about it."
Think any member of the Mainstream Media will ever ask a Democrat politician (other than Mamdani) if he or she supports socialism? Not a chance, because there's no answer that won't cost the Dems votes.
So instead Democrat pols are *quietly* pushing for more socialism, more profanity, more political violence, more sex changes for minors--and for not deporting any illegal aliens.
You'd think most Dem voters would reject all those policies, but the wokiez who rule the Dems embrace 'em, so that's the end of the matter. (I initially wrote "...of the discussion," but of course there *is no discussion.* The rulerz decree the policy, and that's the end of the matter.)
The problem for conservatives is that even after nominating the least-qualified, least-likeable candidates in modern memory, the Dems only lost by about 1.5% Several reasons for this:
*The number of hideous citizens--many of whom are mentally ill--is huge and growing, and they flock to the Dem party;
*The idea of rioting to demand that an illegal alien rapist be freed is irrestible to such people and gives 'em a feeling of belonging that they crave;
*Leading Democrats are on TV every day screaming that Trump is Hitler and is destroying ouah precious democracy--you know, the kind of "democracy" that selected Cackles. The more people hear that bleat, the more believe it;
*Lots of poorly-educated Dems don't wanna work in the only kinds of jobs they qualify for, so they love things like "universal basic income" that pays able people who prefer not to work;
So I'm afraid conservatives who believe the Democrat Partei is unpopular heading into next year's midterms are in for a huge shock.
Former Dem presidential candidate Robert Francis ("Beto") O'Rourke shows the Partei's new strategy perfectly: at a rally in support of Texas Democrats who fled the state to avoid having to vote on a bill to redistrict, said "Fuck the rules! Whatever it takes, we are going to win."
O'Rourke famously flamed out of the 2020 primary after promising to confiscate privately-owned guns. He now says that when Democrats reclaim power they would "drive that car like we stole it" to end all deportations and approve a sweeping amnesty bill for illegal aliens (whom he calls "undocumented Americans").
Mamdani has the same position, vowing to prevent federal immigration agents from operating in the city. He has described his efforts to secure taxpayer-funded benefits for illegals as one of his "greatest victories." Omar Fateh, another radical socialist running for mayor of Minneapolis, recently said one of his top priorities would be protecting "our undocumented residents" from a "hostile federal government."
Dem Rep. Jasmine Crockett--a shrieking diva who's become a rising star thanks to her public tantrums, claims illegal immigration is "not a crime." She most recently went viral for calling Donald Trump a "piece of shit" on her nationwide publicity tour.
They're insane...and they're gaining support from wackos.
