The U.S. used to make everything, now we depend on China
There's an old saying: "In hindsight everything is obvious." What that implies is that everything that happens is *totally* predictable from looking at facts already known...and in almost every case *has been predicted.*
This is not spooky, "ESP" stuff, but just smart people saying "If A, then B."
Of course to be able to do that you need to believe that actions have consequences. "Cause and effect." If you don't believe that...or worse, you believe events will NOT cause the effect the do...you obviously can't predict jack-shit.
Let's start with the basics: Companies wanna make a profit.
Any disagreement there? Good.
Next: Suppose you run a U.S. company that makes...anything. And the Dem-ruled U.S. government has been suing your company for...mumble mumble. Not hiring enough members of "specially-protected classes." Or exceeding the allowable level of sodium chloride in your discharge water.
(For young Americans, sodium chloride is table salt.)
So when one of your VPs suggests that your company could make your product a LOT cheaper in China--and then wouldn't have to spend millions defending against lawsuits from the EPA or the Civil Rights division of the DOJ, what do ya think happens?
Sure: your company "outsources" its manufacturing to China.
Now multiply by a thousand.
The U.S. was once an industrial powerhouse: we made everything, and pretty damn well. But then a combination of ghastly, shitty, stupid rules from stupid Dem bureaucrats, and lower labor costs overseas, changed all that.
And the totally predictable result is that we now get many of the things we need every day--like steel and drugs--from communist China.
Much of this was due to outsourcing by U.S. companies, but the Chinese quickly learned that they could sell their own crap in the U.S. without needing a U.S. partner.
They were also VERY good at stealing U.S. technology--at every level, including jet fighters and nuclear weapons.
Lots of Americans knew Chinese products were junk, but it was *cheap.* And making cheap stuff allowed China to build its production capacity.
Chinese employees in U.S. companies, and government labs, gave every tech secret to China. Due to corrupt U.S. pols the Chinese have been able to buy thousands of high-tech U.S. products and then simply reverse-engineer 'em.
Today about 70% of the stuff sold by Amazon is made in China. And now Chinese companies like Temu are selling directly to U.S. consumers.
Of course the Mainstream Media wil never tell you any of this.
