NPR fawningly lies about duh Dem complaints at demonstrations against Trump
NPR "reports" on yesterday's 'hands off' anti-Trump, anti-Musk rally:
"There are so many issues," said a person who attended the rally in Washington, D.C., on Saturday. "They're coming after education, coming after health care, coming after the arts, coming after the press."
All of those claims are brazen, grotesque lies. But they *sound so plausible to Democrats.* For example, the Department of "Education" has never done any actual educating of students. What they "educate" about is telling Democrat NGOs and state Ed departments how to write grant apps.
They give billions to the states and "connected" leftist NGOs. How many people should it take to do that, eh? 500?
Guess how many people the DoEd employed at last year's election?
4,209 as of last September. Guess how much money it sluiced?
$268 BILLION in 2024.
NPR doesn't literally lie, but instead quotes random citizens claiming tariffs will start a trade war, without pushing back. But in fact putting just HALF of other nations tariffs on *their* exports to the U.S. will force those nations to lower their lopsided tariffs to maintain their exports to the U.S.
NPR quotes anonymous claims that Trump is going to slash veterans' benefits--with no pushback. It's a total lie--and amusingly, the Left has never given a damn about veterans in any case. But in claiming the lie it makes Trump sound heartless. "SEE, he even cuts benefits to our beloved veterans!" But no example of a proposal or policy.
It's classic propaganda.
Another Dem lie--eagerly parroted by NPR--is "He's gonna cut your Social Security benefits." And for a change, this one has just a grain of truth, just not one that impacts honest Americans: DOGE is trying to *stop fraudulent payments.* So yes, *those* recipients will lose monthly checks--that they should never have been getting!
Another Dem lie is that he's ending what NPR calls "LGBTQ rights." Really? Care to give us an example of that? Of course not, because it's a lie: No rights have been taken away, nor is there any plan to do so.
It's true that he signed an EO stating the obvious: there are only two genders. And bribem issued a proclamation that his regime would give trannies the same benefits Title IX gives real girls. That's re-writing a law, and the Constitution doesn't allow presidents to do that.
So Trump's EO will prevent trannies from FORCING taxpayers to pay for sex-change hormones and surgeries. So no more. But if a senile vegetable bleated "I hereby give you the right to rob banks," is that a real right, or just theater?
Of course it's not a real right. And yet the Dems are screaming that they lost a "right." Insane. Unhinged.
Still another lie: "He's ending Free Speech!" No. American citizens have the same right to free speech as always. What he's done is to revoke student visas of agents pushing to overthrow friendly governments. Those visas have *always* been revocable, but no one had ever used that power before because it wasn't worth the firestorm.
Still another lie: "He's coming after 'The Arts!'" He fired the assholes running the totally taxpayer-funded Kennedy Center because they insisted on hosting drag shows. Did he ban drag shows? No, anyone is free to do drag shows at local strip clubs and bars, just not funded by taxpayers. But as NPR sees it (as noted by who it quotes) this is "coming after the arts." Insane. Unhinged.
But why bother with more examples, eh? We're engaged in an existential war now...Orwellian territory. The Left has re-defined all terms so that they mean the opposite of their "old" definitions. Thus "Freedom is Slavery, War is Peace, Ignorance is Strength."
Cutting fraud and waste in government is now "cruelty." Revoking illusory, unlawful "rights" by mentally-ill snowflakes demanding taxpayers pay for their sex change is "taking away ouah rights!"
Throwing violent revolutionaries here on student visas out of the U.S. is "ending free speech."
Democrats" "Freedom is Slavery, War is Peace, Ignorance is Strength," citizen.
