New York Dems pass a $3-billion/year tax on consumers but tell em companies will pay it

How dumb is the average Democrat voter?  You wouldn't believe it.

The insane dictator of New York, Kathy Hochul, has just signed a bill into law--after it passed both chambers of the legislature last spring--that imposes a tax estimated at $3 BILLION a year on state energy users.

But in classic lying Democrat fashion, the pols--both Hochul and the legislature--claim the new tax will be paid by...wait for it...energy companies.

Democrat voters: "Yay!!!  Make doze eeebil, Erf-warming companies PAY!  Yeah!"

Economist: "Uh...you do know that companies pass all fees, taxes, fines and other government-imposed costs directly to consumers, right?"

Dem voters: "Wut??  Nah, bro, I ain't gettin' no bill fo' dis 'Climate Superfund' thing!  Nope nope nope!  Kathy dun sed she gon' make duh eeebil oil, gas and coal companies pay a big ol tax fo' ebry pound of deadly CO2 dey emit.  Not me!"

Now: Can we all agree (well, maybe not all Dems) that politicians are always trying to find new ways of taxing the rubes?

Sure.  But duh Rubes don' wanna pay more taxes, especially in a shitty high-tax state, over-regulated, high-pork state like New York.  Ooohh, what to do, eh?

Solution!  Tell the rubes duh new tax gon' be paid ONLY by eeeebil energy companies!  Yep yep yep!  And count on the fact that not one Dem voter out of a thousand knows companies pass taxes on to consumers.

Count on the fact that even though a few dozen members of the Mainstream Media know this, the Media will nevah tell voters, cuz duh Media totally buy into the bullshit that "energy bad, taxes guud, Democrats guud!"

Eh, I don't care, really.  If stupid bastards in New York fall for this crap, doesn't affect me a bit.  What IS funny, though, is the fact that as energy bills climb to cover the new Democrat tax, more state residents won't be able to pay their bills.  Which means the state will have taxpayers pay more in "state aid" to low-income people.

And where do ya think that money will come from?

From middle- and upper-income taxpayers--who might possibly have been able to pressure their legislators to vote the thing down, but totally believed the Hochul/Dem bullshit that a tax imposed on companies is paid by...duh company, not by the consumer.

Lots of people are uneducated.  But some people can't be educated.  Evah.

And of course Hochul is laughing her ass off at succeeding in imposing a $3-billion-per-year tax on voters while fooling 'em into believing she's actually taxing...some company.

When you Democrats elected Kathy Hochul, what the hell did you think would happen?
