A random sample of current unpleasant events for December 12, 2024

This is for the historical record.

1. The Media are screaming that senate Democrats must block every Trump cabinet nominee--including (amazingly) Pete Hegseth.  If you don't know much about him, Pete won two bronze stars and has two ivy-league degrees, so he's FAR more qualified to be SecDef than the ghastly Lloyd Austin.  But the Media are writing one hit-piece after another, and also on Tulsi Gabbard.
  The Media are also quietly fanning the flames to block Trump policies in the House.  There the problem is that until three states replace 3 GOP congresscritters Trump nominated as agency heads, the GOP will only have a one-seat majority.  And there are at least a dozen RINO reps.

2. A dozen bomb threats have already been made against Trump's cabinet appointees.  Any of ya think those threats will have stopped a year from now?

3. More Dem mayors are promising to oppose efforts to deport illegal alien criminals--those who've committed crimes either here or in their home countries.  The mayors *should be smart enough* to know the difference between simply not *aiding* the feds in finding illegals on their list (that's legal), and *obstructing* fed officers (illegal).
   But "immigrant activists" aren't likely to grasp that distinction, and the mayors aren't likely to warn them about this. Thus civilian mobs are likely to do the standard antifa/mob thing: throwing rocks and bottles at the feds.  That's my prediction.
   The nightly "newz" will find a young girl who was injured in the dust-up, and she'll become the rallying cry for the activists for other cities.

4. The biden regime has generously ordered taxpayers to loan $6.6 BILLION to EV-maker Rivian, under the grandly named "Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing Loan Program."  See, "advanced," citizen.  Dat mean all guuuud, eh?
   See, back in 2021 Rivian announced it would build a big plant in Georgia, hiring 7,000 people to build a staggering 200,000 large battery-powered delivery vehicles per year.  But then it discovered that neither consumers nor businesses wanted the things, so Rivian "paused" the plan.
   Of course wokie bank execs knew EVs were taking the world by storm ("to stop climate change," right?), and were eager to loan Rivian money--at market rates.  But the company had a better idea: get the EV- friendly biden regime to loan 'em billions *at a below-market interest rate.*  How do we know that?  Because if the regime charged the same rate as the banks, why not borrow from banks?
   So...if conservatives owned a struggling EV company, would the biden regime have taxpayers loan that company $6.6 billion?  Not only no, but hell no.  Yet Rivian will get this special loan.  Why the diff?  Can ya guess?

When Rivian went public the largest stockholder (with a 20% interest) was...Jeff Bezos, owner of not just Amazon but the Democrat-fellating Washington Post.  And in 2019--even before the company went public--Bezos had Amazon sign a contract to buy 100,000 of the Rivian's vehicles before any had been built, tested or sold.
   Think a contract from Amazon to buy 100,000 Rivian vans might have made Rivian's stock a LOT more attractive--and Jeff's holding a LOT more valuable?

So...Rivian went public on Nov 10, 2021--a bit less than 3 years ago--at $78 a share.  But because Amazon had a deal to buy its vans, two days later eager investors had jacked its stock to $130 a share--before it had sold 150 vehicles (mostly to employees)--giving it a market cap larger than Ford, which sells millions of cars and trucks per year.  Hmm...

At $78 a share Rivian had a market cap of almost $100 BILLION, and two days later that was up to $166 billion--meaning Bezos's 20% interest was now worth $33 billion.  Nice.

Yesterday the stock closed at just over $12.  The company loses money on every vehicle it sells.  So naturally the execs plan to fix that is to sell more vehicles.

Solution: build a massive new plant, and expand your existing one, to build 400,000 vehicles a year.  Then have federal and state governments order their agencies to buy only Rivian vans.  So yes, the fix is in.

Oh, I see many of you are skeptical.  But until five minutes ago would any of you have believed "your" government would loan $6.6 billion to a failing EV maker controlled by the world's second-richest man?

5.  Speaking of EVs: One of the *laws* biden and the Dems have bragged about passing was the 2021 "Bipartisan Infrastructure Act."  This $1.2 TRILLION-dollar piece of pork gave the Department of Energy $7.5 BILLION to build EV charging stations.
   Three years later conservatives had fun noting that the DOE had built a grand total of eight charging stations.
   So yesterday the lying, Dem-fellating Associated Press put a cute "fact-checking" story on its wire, claiming dat beez totally untrue, that in fact the gummint had built 214 charging stations.  But far more impressive was that there were 24,800 "projects" "underway."  Yaaay!
   So: all the tech journals say you can build a "level-2" station for $10,000.  But if you divide the $7.5 billion appropriation by 24,000 you get about $310,000 per station.  
   Now, it's been a long time since I was in school but I'm pretty sure $310,000 is over 30 times more than $10,000.  So why the huge difference?  Wher e's the extra $300,000 per station vanishing to, eh?
   Waste and corruption.  To "administer" a $7.5 BILLION program, the DOE probably has 500 people shuffling paper on this project.  That's $40 million a year right there.  And then we know that building equipment to the endless government specs will spike the equipment cost to two or three times what it would have been.  So there's another $240 million or so.
   But we're still not even getting *close* to the $7.5 BILLION award, eh?  Where is it all going?
   But don't worry: the AP says all is well because...the money will actually be given to the *states,* which will do the actual building and oversight.

6. Most illegals come into the U.S. in Texas, so you probably heard that the state's governor had members of his state's guard string coils of razor wire on our side of the river.
   Perhaps you also heard that the biden regime immediately started cutting the wire, and using forklifts to raise it so illegals could easily walk under it.  Interesting.
   The Texas attorney-general sued the Biden administration demanding they stop cutting the razor wire.
   Now a federal appeals court has ruled that the biden/mayorkas regime must stop cutting the wire.  Leftist Texas papers called the wire "a tool of war," even though the only way it becomes an impediment is to someone trying to illegally enter the U.S., eh?

7. Top Dems are wailing that the reason they lost the presidency was that "We didn't have support in social media!"  Seriously.  Yes, all they had was Fakebook, Instagram and every mainstream media outlet!  And Cackles refused to go on Joe Rogan's podcast, with its 14 million subscribers--cuz the pipo running her campaign wuz SOoo smaht.

8. A few of you may have heard about an illegal invader from Venezuela--Jose Ibarra--who raped and murdered nursing student Laken Riley in Athens, Georgia.  So naturally all the Leftists in the Mainstream Media are writing stories about the victim.
   No, not the murdered girl, silly!  Of course not!  Instead papers like the biggest in Atlanta are writing tearjerking headlines about the REAL victim: the illegal alien who murdered her.

10. You never saw this in the nightly "newz," so if and newspapers are your only newz source you don't know anything about it:  The Russian ruble is trading at about one cent.  30 years ago the Russian govt pegged it at a dollar.  What does that tell you?  Democrat: "Nothing."  Hmmm...

11. Weeks after Joe said he wouldn't pardon his corrupt crack-head son (and bag-man), Joe has not only pardoned Hunty for his known, proven crimes (evading $1.4 million in taxes and lying on a federal gun form under penalty of perjury), but has given him immunity for ANY crimes he may have committed, whether known or not, for the last nine years.
   And in a telling sign of the corruption running the country, no one in the Media is outraged, or even surprised.
   Two sets of laws, citizen.  That's guaranteed to work well, eh?

12. As thousands of residents of North Carolina are still living in tents with winter approaching, Porridgebrain just gave a BILLION dollars to "Africa"--actually to "connected" NGO's which will use a small fraction of that amount to do..."help Africans *"displaced by drought and food insecurity."*  They'll pocket the rest--as hurricane victims in North Carolina whose homes were destroyed continue to live in tents in freezing temperatures.
   Does that seem reasonable to ya?

13. Corrupt FBI director Chris Wray resigned.  Problem: he won't leave office until late January.  The RINO senators say they all wanna wait for the FBI background check before voting on the confirmation.  My guess is that the FBI check will include every*accusation* against Hegseth, even if none has been proven.

14. Dem rep Jamie Raskin is a ghastly Trump-hating piece of shit.  Here's a video of him last August, in a quiet indoor setting, with a microphone (so his words are totally clear) saying the conservative judges on the Supreme Court have refused to disqualify Trump from being president under Sec 3 of the 14th Amendment.  
   Accordingly, Raskin is urging that when congress is sworn in next Jan 6th, "It's going to be up to us (congress) to tell the rampaging Trump mobs that he's disqualified.  And then we need bodyguards for everybody and civil-war conditions.
   Now: No competent adult thinks even Democrats in congress are dumb enough try such stupid shit, not least because Trump has never been found guilty of "insurrection." But the problem is that crazies like Thomas Crooks and Ryan Routh and Luigi Mangione pay attention to inflamers like Raskin.  
   Inauguration Day may be...interesting.

15. Now that the election is over, even the leftists at the New York Times finally admit that biden and his Dems have presided over the largest invasion in our history:
  According to the Congressional Budget Office (a reasonably non-partisan group), from 2021 to 2023 the number of people entering the U.S. averaged 2.4 million per year.  If we assume 2024 was roughly the same, that's 9.6 MILLION over biden's term.  
  And that's just the ones who "checked in" at ports of entry--doesn't including the "gotaways" that we spot from the air but can't intercept. And of course only a Democrat would claim we spot all those "gotaways."
  Now: *even if congressional Democrats and Dem mayors cooperated with Trump*--which they've vowed NOT to do-- then because biden flew 'em to cities far from the border, with no way of locating 'em--there's no way we can even *find* all these invaders in four or even eight years, let alone deport 'em all.
  So when the next Democrat wins the presidency, we'll be right back to biden/Dem policies.
  For those of you who get all your "newz" from the Mainstream Media: roughly 95% of the illegals are males between the ages of 15 and 40--what are euphemistically called "fighting age men."  What percentage do Dems wanna claim are totally law-abiding and just wanna do honest work?  
  Admittedly it's hard to make a good guess.  So let's try another angle: What percentage have been either convicted or charged with a serious crime--rape, murder or armed robbery--in their home nations?
  Ooohh, sorry!  The biden regime has no idea, because in most cases the sons of bitches have thrown away their papers before waltzing in!  Seriously, there are hours of video of piles of discarded passports and identity papers at the border.  *Surely you've seen some of the video, right?*
  No?  Gee, I'm...shocked.  A typical pile is eight feet or so across and foot high.  The videographer goes up to the pile and shows the camera a dozen passports.
  Democrats: "Dat fake newz!  Doze passports were fake, an' all duh alleged papers below the fake passports were just folded papers!  Yeah, dat's it!  All faked by Trumpers to hurt duh faaaabulous biden regime!"
  Oh you bet, sparky.  Tell ya what: Let's ask someone with first-hand knowledge of the dangers posed to American women by at least *some* of the illegals.  How about...nursing student Laken Riley, or any of the other hundreds of American girls raped and murdered by illegals?
  Oh wait...ya can't.
  Democrat pols and leftists and Media immediately bleat, "Stupid deplorable,  American men commit those crimes at a higher rate than 'immigrants.'"
  How often have you heard that exact bleat in the Mainstream (Dem-fellating) Media, eh?  Now think:  Have you EVER seen a cite or link to a study on that?
  No, you haven't--because the regime and its Media supporters refuse to disclose whether someone charged with those crimes is an illegal alien.  The regime knows, but doesn't want you to know.
   Also, to get a percentage you'd need to know how many illegals were in the U.S.  To make the percentage committing rape or murder low, you need a big denominator, eh?  The regime doesn't want anyone getting into that calculation because to show illegals don't commit crimes as often as Americans they need a BIG denominator, and they don't want to admit that number.
