When the head of the nation's largest teachers' union can't spell...it explains a lot

Everyone loves pics of pretty sunsets, eh?  Like this:

And then...Wait, the poster's unusual name seems...familiar.  Yes, that's the former president of the National Education Association--the largest teachers' union in the nation.

And then you notice she spelled the word "tonight" as "tonite."

Then you think, "Well that's just a typo."  Sure, dat's it.  No it's not: a typo is when your finger hits the wrong key.  To turn "tonight" into "tonite" requires not just munging THREE keys, but also in a way to make the new word match the popular misspelling.  So no...the former pres of the NEA thinks this is how you spell it.

Finally you think, This is exactly what we've been seeing for 20 years:  Half the kids in public schools can't read or do math at grade level.  In shithole Dem cities it's far worse:  In some only 15% of those graduating from high school are proficient in either subject.

Strong, honest, uncorrupt leaders determined to do good create good results.  Communists, incompetents and corruptocrats ensure bad results.

There are lots of good teachers.  Unfortunately the unions are beyond saving.
