If the policies endorsed and pushed by EVERY Democrat politician are killing our nation, when do we change course?

And the Dems and "elites" and Media talking heads invariably respond, "We can't do that until we've bottomed out.  And we haven't totally bottomed out yet."

Then I say, "Why do you say we have to 'bottom out' before we change course?”  Imagine a parent saying "I found some syringes and a baggie of heroin in my son's room.  But I can't say anything because he hasn't flatlined yet.  I haven't ever walked in and seen him convulsing, with foam coming out of his mouth."

And I say, "Okay, but do you have to see that before you can act?  Why not confront him *now,* maybe get him into rehab?"

And the parent says "Because his heart hasn't stopped yet."

And I'm baffled.  Everyone can see where policies like open borders and massive deficits and giving free needles to addicts and giving illegal aliens rooms in fancy hotels, and forcing taxpayers to pay off loans taken out by African-studies majors at Harvard are taking us, but the Democrats are like, "You could be right, but we have to bottom out first."

And finally you realize that the line "We can't change things until we bottom out first" is utter bullshit--a line the Democrats use when what they mean is "We don't want to change any of our party's policies, so we'll invent some clever line to convince voters we have to keep in place all the destructive policies we've forced on the country, even though voters know exactly what those policies are doing.
