biden bleats "Lower the temperature," but campaign is still screaming Trump is Hitler

After Saturday's attempt to kill Trump, biden addressed Americans from the Oval Office,  calling for "lowering the temperature" in political discourse.

Sounds SO diplomatic, statesman-like, eh?

Well apparently it was horseshit, cuz the New York Post reports that just hours later the chair of biden's re-election campaign chair, Jen O'Malley Dillon, claimed Trump chose J.D. Vance as his running mate because Vance would "enable Trump's extreme agenda *even if it means breaking the law."*

In the days before the attempt, Biden had intensified his rhetoric against Trump, including writing on X that Trump was "a dictator."

Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre defended biden's outrageous comments, saying the president's critiques of Trump "focus on policy and leadership issues, not personal attacks."

No, asshole, claiming Trump is a new Hitler or dictator who will "literally destroy our democracy" if elected is NOT a "policy issue," it's a personal attack.  A "policy issue" is "Trump wants to close the border, but we believe it should be kept wide open."  

Or "Trump wants to prevent men from competing in girls' sports, but we believe men can become women just by saying they are, so it would be unfair to prevent them from playing as women."

So barely two days after the assassination attempt Team Biden was back to what Mollie Hemingway calls "Assassination-Prep" mode.
