Fakebook's "Threads" search engine blocks searches for "covid" and "vaccines"
The biden regime pressured Fakebook and pre-Musk Twitter to delete every user post that criticized the covid jab, or that claimed a user or family member had been cured by ivermectin or HCQ. And of course all the communist rat-bastard Democrats at pre-Musk Twitter and Fakebook were overjoyed to cooperate with the Dem regime.
But then Musk bought Twitter, and suddenly people could speak freely and exchange ideas and information again. Oooohhh, regime no like!
So with regime encouragement, early this year the spooky alien Zuckerberg announced that his company was starting an app to compete with Twitter, called Threads.
But with a federal court having ordered the regime not to tell social media what to delete, Zuck and his team of highly motivated censors didn't know which user posts to censor (delete). So they came up with a plan: Last week Threads introduced a search function--a crucial step that would give it more parity with X (formerly Twitter).
From a user's standpoint this search function had one small problem: When users used it to search for anything containing the word “covid,” the result was a blank screen--and then a pop-up linking to the CDC's website.
Clever, eh? So instead of having to decide for themselves what info about covid the app should delete, Zuck's employees simply refused to let users see ANY info on covid. Problem solved!
When pressed, Fakebook spokeswhores admitted the obvious--that its search function is intentionally blocking "covid," and that other terms are also being blocked! But predictably they refused to reveal the other blocked terms. But quick tests found that the words “sex,” “nude,” “coronavirus,” “vaccines” and “vaccination” are also blocked.
Meta explained that their search function was designed to not show users results for any words that might show "potentially sensitive content.” See, Meta believes its users are clearly not smart enough to be trusted with information not approved by the White House or Meta.
So the company will simply defer to the CDC, which Democrats claim always tells the truth. Nothing else will be allowed. It's a novel concept, totally supported by the bribem regime.
A nameless regime propagandist said the decision not to return any hits on sensitive health topics was actually good, because that way Americans would only see info from the CDC. “People should only get information from trusted sources, like the CDC," he said. "Other sources give people misinformation.”
In July Instagram's CEO said Threads is “not going to do anything to encourage politics or hard news.” Isn't that reassuring?
See, citizen? We wouldn't want you to see anything that might contradict the regime.
The WaPo didn't miss a chance to bash Musk: Emily Vraga, an associate professor at Dipshit University's journalism school said the decision to block search results for controversial words is because she claims Meta "has long had a hands-off approach--they don’t want to be seen as deciding truth versus not truth."
That's utter horseshit: Fakebook ("Meta") gleefully cooperated with the bribem regime in censoring EVERYTHING the regime didn't like, yet this propagandist claims Fakebook has always been "hands-off"?? You're kidding, right?
So...Democrats will flock to Threads because they don't care about actually knowing about anything the regime doesn't want 'em to know.
