Even the WSJ is spinning
Most Americans think the Wall Street Journal is fairly unbiased and pretty reliable.
Really? Here are the headlines on two consecutive "teaser" stories at the end of a recent WSJ story on the price of oil:
1. "The U.S. economy is nowhere near a recession"; followed immediately by...
2. "How to survive in the coming recession."
Note these were NOT advertisements cunningly disguised as stories, but were actual WSJ stories.
So which is it, spinners? Recession, or "nowhere near"?
