A former NBC talking head sees the light?

I know almost nothing about Megyn Kelly--formerly with Fox and then NBC.  But she seems to have realized that obediently affirming a ghastly lie is extremely harmful.  She just wrote a piece titled ”I'm done with the trans pronoun charade."

She admits that during her tenure at NBC she supported the tranny demands to use preferred pronouns, and allowing biological males--amusingly called “trans women”--into girls’ bathrooms, and so on.  Ms. Kelly rationalized the insanity by saying “I didn’t see the harm.”

Then for some reason, she woke up.  Here's her explanation:

By September 2020 the warning signs were everywhere.  Abigail Shrier had written her immensely important book "Irreversible Damage," documenting the social contagion sweeping teenage and adolescent girls.
Teenage girls in Connecticut were being forced to compete against males in track-– runners who had raced as boys the year before, then simply declared themselves female and dominated biological girls.
I had the female runners on the show, along with a trans medical person.  When I said the trans girls were biological males, this person told me that was offensive.
I explained that it was an attempt at clarity but then began to re-think the language policing.  How did we reach a point that forced everyone to deny reality in order not to offend the pretenders?  What I said was true and not said to offend.  But I'd been conditioned to be polite.

Of course Ms. Kelly's new friends in the liberal media quickly abandoned her when the left-wing outrage mob came after her for stating several truths.  NBC bought out the balance of her contract--reportedly $30 million--and fired her.

My guess is that Kelly is finally beginning to understand how dishonest and wicked these people are.

It is beyond time to stand up to the trans lobby that means to deprive women of their spaces and rights. To the men who pose as trans women to gain access to places like sorority houses only to exploit the women strong-armed into welcoming them.
To stand up to men who grow their hair long, put on a dress--and then threaten to kill us if we object to them coming into our private spaces.
To stand up to greedy doctors who are mutilating  our children; to politicians who put males in womens' prisons where they are raping female prisoners.

Kelly has discovered a great truth: that politely adopting the language demands of "wokies" supports their agenda.

How can we stand up to any of this if we are complicit? How can we fight if we support this total fiction that a man can become a real woman?
Because if you buy that, how can we say "she" can't come into our locker rooms or bathrooms or sororities?
We see Target saying "she" can buy "her" bathing suit with extra "reinforcement" in a critical area to hide "her penis."  It doesn't make sense.
That's because it isn't true. And rational people know it's not true.  And to pretend that it's true is to foster a lie that's hurting too many people-- almost all of them girls.
Kelly calls the demand to use "preferred pronouns" a “gateway drug.”  Yep.  "Nose of the camel."  "Slippery slope."

Kelly closes with a bold repudiation of the pronoun nonsense, and with a powerful statement of contrition:

"I will not take this gateway drug anymore-- because I have a daughter.  Because for far too long, I failed to see the harm [in bowing to the pronoun Nazis] and therefore helped cause it.
