Report from a Democrat female in San Francisco on what life is like in that city

Michelle Tandler is a Democrat single female living in San Francisco.  At least I assume she's female.  Hard to tell today.  She sounds like a typical Democrat resident of any big, Democrat-ruled city--which is to say, she's a leftist who prizes virtue signaling and rejects cause-and-effect.  But she seems nice enough.

Like other residents of big Dem-ruled cities, Michelle has long-since grown used to weird people doing weird stuff all the time.  But she appears to be utterly mystified by why men put up with it, and don't protect the women in the city.

The cluelessness is absolutely delicious.  One is tempted to poke fun at the total failure to comprehend the obvious--the refusal to believe in cause-and-effect-- that characterizes all liberals and Democrats,. But then one wants to congratulate her for finally waking up to any extent!

And no, dat not duh same "woke" as the Democrats bleat about.
 
So here's my edited version of Michelle reporting on what life's like in San Francisco today:

Many days I walk past people dancing on the hill next to my home.  If you see a man dancing erratically near your home, what do you do?  When I see things like this, the first thing I think is "meth."  Then I start thinking about safety.  Should I turn and go the other way?  Should I pretend everything's normal?

Constantly living in fear takes a toll, albeit a small one. But even though small, it's continuous.

The ultra wealthy in San Francisco don't have to put up with these moments.  The super-rich in SF live on hills because the saying is "crime don't climb."  Or they live in west part of the city, protected by a lack of bus service (which is by design).

The number of scary or uncomfortable encounters I have had in San Francisco is now in the thousands.  It's a daily occurrence, often several times a day.  People say I should just move somewhere else.  But this is my home!  A city I love with all my heart!  When I'm not being scared by drug addicts or the mentally ill, I generally love living here.

I remind myself that these daily scares are just the reality of living in a big city.  I tell myself to stop worrying so much. 

Now we're about to get to the crux of the "liberal bafflement," followed--slowly--by the tiniest hints of the beginning of a realization?

The "just leave" comments are frankly annoying.  So are the "you vote Democrat so you're getting what you deserve!"  But since when do all grown men seem to believe the right thing to do is run away...?  Doesn't anybody believe in fighting for what you believe in?

Let me help ya, cupcake: For years, every one of your demonic, evil Democrat politicians has demanded that whenever a good, brave man tries to stop bad people--whether drug addicts or a mentally ill person or merely an evil pervert--from hurting someone, guess who gets punished--often jailed?

Dat right, cupcake: The honest, law-abiding person who risked his life to save someone else--almost always a female.  You know that's true, but like all Democrats you've just resolutely ignored it--cuz it's way more important to you to signal your virtue by mouthing all the wokie Dem platitudes.  

Then you wonder why you don't see any good men left?  It's a total mystery, eh?  So we're getting ready to meet "Liberal bafflement."

Yesterday I was in a group chat talking with tech execs about the stabbing murder of entrepreneur Bob Lee.  All of them said that if, after being stabbed, he'd approached their car with his stab wounds visible, they would not have helped him.

What...?! Seriously? A bleeding man approaches your car and you do... Nothing?  Our society seems to have become seriously complacent. 

Not our society, cupcake.  Your Demonic-run society, that jails good people and allows evil ones to do as they wish.  Your popular communist former DA, Chesa Boudin--literally the son of two terrorists-- openly bragged that he wouldn't prosecute anyone for drug use or public lewdness.  The pols DECREE that thugs shall be released without bail, to maraud at will for up to two years before finally being tried.  And if convicted, the thug rarely serves more than a fraction of his sentence.
   And yet you have such blinders on that you think this can't be fixed--because in Demon-run cities no one demands that it BE fixed--because anyone who does is shouted down by the wokie mob.

100 years ago in SF people who committed serious crimes were publicly hanged, often by vigilante groups that wanted to send a message.  And those hangings worked.  After a few, crime would plummet, and would often stay low for months at a time, until the thugs forgot the vivid, effective lesson.

So...a few questions:
+ What changed that the men of San Francisco went from creating vigilante groups to being afraid to even tweet about crime?

See above.  The Democrat pols you continue to elect are jailing good men who stop thugs.  Rational men easily reach the rational conclusion that it's not worth going to jail.  Of course you know how to change that, but if you suggest it the howling wokie mob will cancel your ass.

 + What would happen if a few drug dealers were publicly hanged?

It would have the same effect as you say it did a century ago (which I haven't verified but know the principle is accurate).  But the pols and DC won't let a city do that.  Cali had a great idea with a thing called the "three strikes law."  It said anyone convicted of three serious crimes would be put away for much longer.  But the Democrats running Cali got that repealed because the didn't want to spend tax dollars on more prison cells.  They'd rather pocket the money.  So it can't come as a surprise that thugs now own the state.

+ Theoretically, if publicly hanging say, 5 fentanyl dealers led to saving the lives of hundreds, is it morally reasonable?

+ Why would most San Francisco residents view my question above as horrifying and immoral?

+ What do other countries do with their fentanyl dealers?

+ Why aren't the men of San Francisco rallying together to protect our city's women and elderly from drug-induced violence?

Because, like you, they keep voting for the same demonic politicians, in order to signal their "wokie" virtue. Like lemmings, everyone goes along with the "woke" crowd.  But to your credit, at least you're smart enough to realize there's something wrong.

From your questions it's clear you haven't figured out what it is yet, but at least there's hope for ya.

And next time you talk with those pencil-necks who pass for "male" in San Fran about the latest murder, you might try saying something like, "Do you think it might help if the people ruling our city were less 'woke'?"

Watch their reactions carefully.  I suspect you'll see lots of "eye aversion"--which as you know means you've scored a hit but it's so unsettling to your listeners that they don't want to admit it.
