Minneapolis NBC station re-writes history, calling the George Floyd riots "2020 fires"
[edited from David Strom at Hot Air]
If you were paying attention in 2020 you may recall that there were scores of violent riots, with massive arson and looting. Remember?
Rioters burned a big part of Minneapolis. The city's Democrat "leaders" actually abandoned a police precinct and let rioters burn it down. Rioters torched a very large, nearly-completed multi-story, multi-million-dollar low-income housing project.
The city's Democrat leaders merely shrugged. "Dat whut inshurents fo'."
Looting was rampant. It was a nightmare. The state called out the National Guard, and even then it took days to retake the city.
Of course that was almost three years ago. And to young Americans that's like, a century. So our local NBC station thinks everyone has forgotten who started all those fires, and who looted all those stores. As far as the morons at NBC are concerned, all that arson and destruction just "happened," without any human agent.
NBC describes it as merely “the fires.” Like a forest fire caused by lightning. It just sort of happened, by itself. Like lightning, maybe.
It's cunning--because except for the perpetually-aggrieved class, most people have fairly short memories. So now that NBC has "tested the water" to see if their bullshit ignites massive pushback, the rest of the media will go the same route. And two years from now not one American in a hundred will remember what really happened.
Such is the power of media propaganda.
People who trust the Mainstream Media--a.k.a. "state-run-media"--and thus get ALL their "newz" from that source have no idea what's really happening.
The media feeds them a steady diet of propaganda and shiny objects to divert their attention from what's really important, and consumers become stupid.
The fact is that the nation's "elites" and its entire cultural and "entertainment" sector has united to destroy the nuclear family, the work ethic, Christianity and a dozen other things that once held the country together.
“The 2020 fires.” It's like the Muslim Democrat rep from Somalia, Ilhan Omar, describing the 9/11 hijackings and crashing the hijacked jetliners--with passengers on-board--into the two World Trade Center buildings and the Pentagon as "Some people did something." (That's a direct quote, by the way.)
Democrats want Americans to forget the mass destruction and devastation of the riots of 2020 because the rioters were their voters, and Kamala Harris used her office to push a fund that posted bail for any rioter who was jailed by the cops. (Very few rioters were jailed.) So it's no wonder they want to change the description from "BLM/Antifa riots" to "Some fires somehow started."
If you think that's an accurate description of what happened in 2020 you probably think Seattle enjoyed a "Summer of Love"--which is what the Democrat mayor of that city called it.
Revisionist history is wonderful--at least for the party that's doing the revising.
