California panel to release report today on paying reparations. Wait...what??

Say, citizen, now that the Democrats have gotten Americans to think the idea of two million illegal aliens pouring into the U.S. each year across the Mexican border is "normal," and because thanks to biden's brilliant energy policies the price of gasoline has settled down to a "perfectly normal" five bucks a gallon, and because thanks to the Dems' brilliant economic policies, inflation is the "normal" ten percent or so, duh gruberment has money to spare.  So ya know what we need now?

Reparations.

If you're a young white American you may not be familiar with that term.  It's a government plan to give blacks in the U.S. money, because the ancestors of some of them were slaves.

Yep, today a California task force on reparations  – the first of its kind in the nation – is to release a report outlining ways to address what it believes to be wrongs committed by the state against black Americans--regardless of whether their ancestors were slaves.

Wait...what?  I thought the whole arguement for reparations was based on the theory that taxpayers today somehow owe descendants of slaves money because 160 years ago slavery wasn't illegal in the U.S.  But now you say you gonna pay all blacks, regardless?

Yep.  The gruberment plan is to give money to ALL blacks, even if their ancestors were never slaves.   The logic behind that is...sketchy, but probably mumble mumble systemic racism.  Or it may be just to avoid arguments over whose ancestors were slaves and whose weren't.  Or not.  The report almost certainly won't explain the logic...cuz you're not supposed to ask questions like that.

Ah, I see.  So how much money we talkin' here, sparky?

Uh...don't worry about that, citizen.  Either billions or a trillion or so.  We Democrats haven't decided yet, but when we decide, we'll tell you.  We'll start by demanding two million apiece, and then graciously let the GOP negotiate down to $1.85 mill.  Don't know why you'd care, though, since you won't get to vote on it.

Wait, you say you don't see how this could possibly become law without a vote?  Did you get to vote on the regime's order to take the jab or be fired?  Did you get to vote on whether everyone who enters the U.S. illegally should be allowed to stay?  In that case, why do you think you'll get to vote on this, eh?

So...we haven't settled on the dollar amount yet.  Well, we may have decided on a ballpark number, but we won't officially announce it until November 10th.  What?  Yes, that may well be a week or so after the November elections, but that has nothing to do with it.   Of course there will be rumors of the payoff per person, but you won't be able to find the source.  And if you're white, you're instructed not to believe those "rumors."  They're only intended for black information, before the election, to motivate our base compassionate, caring Americans to vote Democrat.

The report calls for expanded voter registration (and presumably elimination of those vote-suppressing photo-ID laws), more policies to hold police accountable in cases of alleged brutality, and the creation of a special government office that would help blacks--regardless of whether they're descendants of slaves--get paid whatever we Democrats decide on.  Very simple.

Wait...so would this mean people like barack Obama and Kamala Harris and Maxine Waters and Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and  senator Corey Booker and representative Ayana Pressley would qualify for a piece of this faaabulous pot of gold?  Doesn't sound like those folks are oppressed at all.

"Well we haven't worked out the details yet.  Surely there will be some sort of income cutoff, so that anyone making over, say, $200,000 per year wouldn't qualify for the full payoff.  Surely.  Or at least we'd be prepared to negotiate about adding a provision like that if Republicans demanded it.  Of course we don't think they would, cuz that would be considered raaaaacist, eh?"

The report runs 500 pages, according to task force chair Kamilah Moore.  She noted that the report also "highlights contributions of the African-American community and how they made the United States what it is despite ongoing oppression and degradation."

Now I don't doubt that liberals in states other than California are laughing at what they consider conservative stupidity: "Dis not federal law!  Not no law!  Dis only a report from California!  You people tryna scare folks into not votin' for Democrats."

Clever.  But this report is just the nose of the camel:  It allows the national media to keep the idea before the public for as long as needed to wear down resisistance to what is a really, really dumb idea.
