Dem governor offering $150K to hire a "misinformation spotter" ahead of November elections
The headline above may not have triggered your outrage cuz compared to "You must take the jab or be fired," or "Your 5-year-old must be jabbed to attend school" or "We need to repeal the 2nd Amendment," it sounds pretty harmless.
As the leftists at MSN put it, hiring an extravagantly-paid 'misinformation spotter' "is part of a massive campaign against alleged misinformation funded by Democrat Governor Ned Lamont,"
Wake the hell up, dummies. Use your head for once. Cuz the first question is, Who will decide what's considered "misinformation,' eh?
Sure: So any information that
- supports claims of massive Democrat fraud in the 2020 presidential election, or
- shows that the CDC and FDA KNEW the vax had deadly side-effects and did NOT prevent the jabbed from getting covid, or
- lists evidence showing that inflation is far higher than the Lying Mainstream Media are telling us, or
- shows that the Democrat Party wants to confiscate all civilian-owned guns--and that banning civilians from owning the AR-15 is simply the first step; or
- notes that an absolutely certain trigger of inflation is doubling the amount of paper money in circulation; or
- shows evidence that the FBI is corrupt from top to bottom, or
- shows evidence that connected Democrats like Hilliary can break any law without punishment; or
- shows that Hilliary and the Democrat party fabricated the entire "Russia collusion" story to reduce support for Trump; or
- shows that the Biden regime and Democrat party are forcing schools to let males claiming to be females use womens' bathrooms; or
- shows that the regime has ordered federal agencies to issue rules AS IF the law in Title IX had been changed, even though that is NOT the case (i.e. president violating the Constituition by effectively making laws); or
- shows that the regime has appointed incompetent cabinet secretaries (i.e. agency heads) and other officials (lesbian press secretary, tranny head of Medical division of HHS) because their race or homosexual status curries favor with Dem supporters; or
- shows that the regime has violated the Constitution by imprisoning Jan 6 demonstrators for 17 months without charges and without offering bail or a speedy trial;
Okay, good start. Now, what do you think the absolutely inevitable next step will be, eh?
Sure: The Democrat administration of the Peoples' Republic of Connecticut will pass a law authorizing the state to fine any domain owner that fails to remove alleged "misinformation" within 24 hours.
Democrat pol: "Free speech? Of COURSE we support free speech, citizen! You can say anything you want--as long as it's not 'misinformation,' eh? Cuz who would want good citizens to be 'mis-informed' about vital issues, right? So banning 'misinformation' in no way infringes on your 'freedom of speech." Because as our Dear Leader has said many times, 'No amendment is absolute,' citizen. And you should keep that in mind, because if you try to exceed our VERY prudent, reasonable limits on any so-called 'right,' we may well decide to limit your 'rights' even more. So...you've been warned, insurrectionists!"
Source: Daily Mail (U.K.); Oh, you think that's not a valid source (cuz that's what Microsoft and Google have literally told you? then try the damn New York Times.
With a salary of $150,000, the person is expected to comb fringe sites like 4chan, far-right social networks like Gettr and Rumble, and mainstream social media sites to root out early misinformation narratives about voting before they go viral, and then urge the companies to remove or flag the posts that contain false information.
“We have to have situational awareness by looking into all the incoming threats to the integrity of elections,” said Scott Bates, Connecticut’s deputy secretary of the state. “Misinformation can erode people’s confidence in elections, and we view that as a critical threat to the democratic process.”
Wow, Scott, ya say “Misinformation can erode people’s
confidence in elections, and we view that as a critical threat to the
democratic process.” Gee, ya think? Like claiming "The 2020 election was the most honest in our nation's history," spoken the day after election day, before a single piece of evidence of massive election fraud had been presented? THAT sort of misinformation?
Connecticut joins a handful of states preparing to fight an onslaught of rumors and lies about this year’s elections.
Gosh, who could be against "an onslaught of rumors and lies," eh? Oh wait...tell us one more time who it is that's DECREEING what constitutes a lie. Oh, Democrats. Great, cuz for a moment there I was a bit worried that Americans might get to decide for themselves! Glad the Dems are removing that possibility!
Oregon, Idaho and Arizona have education and ad campaigns on the internet, TV, radio and billboards meant to spread accurate information about polling times, voter eligibility and absentee voting.
Hey, who could possibly be against "spreding accurate information about polling times," eh? That's an absolutely classic propaganda technique: "You're not for killing helpless puppies and kittens, are you? Of course not! So you need to support our new program! Cuz we agree with you!"
Colorado has hired three cybersecurity experts to monitor sites for misinformation. California’s office of the secretary of state is searching for misinformation and working with the Department of Homeland Security and academics to look for patterns of misinformation across the internet.
Wow, managed to use "misinformation" three times in a single sentence! Classic propaganda. And you've already fallen for it. Cuz "You don't want dangerous Russian agents to fool you and your precious children with 'misinformation,' do you? Of course not!"
These states, most of them under Democratic control, have been acting as voter confidence in election integrity has plummeted. In an ABC/Ipsos poll from January, only 20 percent of respondents said they were “very confident” in the integrity of the election system and 39 percent said they felt “somewhat confident.” Numerous Republican candidates have embraced former President Donald J. Trump’s falsehoods about the 2020 election, campaigning — often successfully — on the untrue claim that it was stolen from him.
Some conservatives and civil rights groups are almost certain to complain that the efforts to limit misinformation could restrict free speech.
"Can you imagine? How could anyone possibly think that preventing busy American voters from being fooled by seeing 'misinformation' might 'restrict free speech'? How silly! Cuz we Democrats are ALL for free speech. But every good American recognizes that there is NO absolutel right to free speech. The courts ruled over a century ago that 'You can't yell FIRE in a crowded theater,' eh? See? So it's just crazy-talk for conservatives and so-called 'civil-rights groups' to claim our new 'misinformation spotters' are 'infringing' on something that's dangerous, and not even an absolute right, eh?"
Note that the above indents were all verbatim quotes from the New York Times, which is the Left's talking points and marching orders. The Media will now echo these talking points for the rest of the election season. By November nearly every Democrat-ruled state will have its own version of 'misinformation spotter.' And every Democrat voter will think this is perfectly fine.
Cuz after all, citizen, "You don't want your precious children to be fooled by right-wing misinformation, do ya? No, of course not!"
With the courts having chosen to ignore massive election fraud, and with the Democrats setting up government offices to kill information they don't want you to see, it's clear that there's only one way to save this country. Understandably, no one wants to think about it.
My only consolation is: I don't have any kids. So when you Democrats get your way, only your kids will pay the price for your stupidity.
And when it happens, I hope you're all alive to see it, and realize what you did--if only by voting for freedom-hating dictators.
