Poll shows swing of 8 points from voters identifying as Dem to identifying as Repubs. Mainstream Media ignores

Every political poll I've read in the last 40 years samples (or weights) results as if  there were more Democrat voters than Republicans--so obviously showing a significant edge for Democrats.  This is probably because sampling heavily favors Northeast and West Coast responses, and urban liberals are much more likely to respond to pollsters.

Honest pollsters would try to find out what percentage of voters nationwide identify with each party.  But of course pollsters cited by the Mainstream Media don't do that, because they want to show those that Democrat policies and candidates are supported by most Americans.  It's called "bandwagon effect," implying that all the "cool kids" think Dems are faaabulous!  And you're cool, right?  So....

Now one pollster (Rich Baris) has taken a new look at the percent of Dems vs. Repubs, and finds that Republican identification is now essentially equal to Democrat. The results were 37.2 Rep, 37.0 Dem, and 25.8 Independent.  That's an 8 point shift in the past year from Democrat to Republican.  (The percentage saying they're independent is unchanged.)

The Media will try to delete this finding, since it kills their "all the cool kids are Democrat" narrative.

You may well wonder how they can get away with that.  Simple: a) simply claim nothing has changed, cuz the typical voter hasn't seen the Baris results, and will never see them; and b) claim that instead of the percent of voters claiming to be Republican increasing, what's really happening is the percent of people claiming to be *independent* is rising.

This is very persuasive, since for the past 8 years or so the Mainstream Media has been full of stories about "The Rise of the Independents."  The Narrative is that voters are NOT AT ALL leaving the Democrat plantation but are equally disenchanted with both parties.

If you doubt that, here's left-wing site Axios explaining:

The survey does not show a mass defection to the Republican Party.

See, if Americans knew that the polls favored Republicans by ten or 15 points going into the November elections, no one would believe it if the Dems only lose 5 seats in the House and one in the senate.  So to make a steal seem plausible, polls by Mainstream Media pollsters have to show the Dems only trailing by a couple of points just before the election--which is what they'll claim.

"Wait, are you saying our trusted Mainstream Media would LIE to us, to swing the election to the Democrats?"

I know, hard to imagine how ANYONE could think that, eh?

Details here.
