Requiem for a nation

Most of us who grew up in the 60s and 70s no longer recognize the nation in which we were raised. In many ways we are strangers in a country that gets stranger by the day.

We believed in the American dream. We worked hard, paid our taxes and obeyed the law —even laws we thought were idiotic.

We married and had children and dogs and cats.   A huge number of young adults today think kids are an expensive burden.

We struggled to raise families. Some of us went to war, like our fathers and grandfathers before us.  We believed what the seeming airheads on the evening news read to us because it never occurred to us that they'd lie so brazenly, and so consistently.

What we feel today is alienation.  Most of us don't recognize the America.ruled by biden, harris, merrick garland, pete buttigieg, tony blinken and the rest of the corrupt, conniving bastards.

We never imagined our government would print trillions of dollars of paper, igniting inflation and destroying the value of our painfully-accumulated savings.

Filling the gas tank is agonizing.  Just two years ago we paid barely two dollars a gallon.  Now it's over $4.  Paying confiscatory taxes marks us as serfs. Inflation is at an almost 40-year high, and politicians have the gall to tell us it's because government isn't spending enough.

Our tax dollars are being used to provide "free" housing, food, medical care and cash for two MILLION illegal aliens who were allowed into our country last year alone, by biden.  Our once-lovely cities are cesspools of addicts and loons who camp and defecate on the sidewalks.

Many of us are the grandchildren of legal immigrants, a fact of which we are proud.  But we watch with grim foreboding as an endless tide of unvetted, illegal immigrants pours across our southern border unimpeded.  The Democratic party sees them as voters.  With elections rigged, we are powerless to stop that tide--yet the Democrats and RINOs want us to defend a distant land against invasion.

Biden and his handlers have been doing everything possible to kill the U.S. energy sector. but imports 800,000 barrels of Russian oil AND refined products (gasoline and jet fuel) a day. While he orders U.S. pipelines cancelled, and orders a halt to oil and natural gas exploration on most federal lands and waters, Biden pleads with the Saudis to pump more – and is thinking about imports from the Marxists of Venezuela and the jihadists of Iran, both Russian allies.  It would seem that the regime believes only oil produced in the U.S. is bad--oil bought from anywhere outside the U.S. is okay.

The only thing that keeps the good, responsible people across this country from taking up arms is our morality, ethics and respect for the law and the rights of others.  But after watching the brazen, massive fraud that stole the 2020 election, it is evident that those in power have zero respect for OUR rights.

They have learned that no institution in this land will try to stop them when they take away our rights. (The January 6th protesters are still in jail over a year later, without charges or trial.  Three weeks ago one was sentenced to...45 DAYS in jail, after being imprisoned in a shithole for over a year.  This is brazenly unconstitutional, yet no one has been hanged for their part in stealing these peoples' freedom.)

One wonders if there will ever come a time when enough good, honest, God-fearing Americans have finally had enough, and revolt against this evil regime.  Frankly, I'm not at all sure that will happen.

My Democrat friends and siblings can't understand any of this.  It's like they live on another planet, or we don't speak the same language.  But retailers in big cities are starting to understand.  As are women beaten and slashed and pushed in front of subway trains in that cesspool called New York City.  Or murder victims in every Dem-ruled shit-hole.

Wait, what was I thinking?!  We have Kamala as future president when the Dems decide they're losing too many votes because of porridgebrain.  Yay!  We're saved! 

Well at least that's what my Democrat friends will say.  And the Jake Tappers and Chuck Todds and Brian Stelters and Rachel Madcows of the world will absolutely assure them that this is exactly right.
