Kings would often order unruly subjects to be killed, but today we're SO much more enlightened!
Throughout history kings have often demanded that unruly subjects submit or they'd be killed.
But today we're SO much more sophisticated, eh? So today when a king is vexed by unruly subjects who don't obey his orders, he does't have them executed. Perish the thought! Cuz we're FREE people, not subjects of a king, eh?
Instead, today if a subject refuses to obey, the king merely orders the subject's employer to fire 'em, so they and their families starve and lose their home.
Since the employer isn't technically part of the gruberment, the king sniffs that no one can blame him, since he didn't actually fire the rebellious peasant. And the Media--which loves the king and gets huge freebies from the State treasury--dutifully echoes that Narrative: "It's not his fault that those rebellious peasants were fired! Our wonderful king didn't fire 'em, so you cannot possibly blame HIM!"
See how beautifully it works?
Wonder what the men who founded this nation would have thought of what we're seeing today.
Oh wait, I forgot: The Media have conditioned you to believe all those men were EVIL, cuz they owned slaves. So why should we be concerned about what they would have thought, eh?.
Thanks, Democrats!
