New drug cures covid patients in 5 days--like ivermectin, but costs 500 times as much. CDC & Fauxi still pushing the jab
WOW, just ten days ago (and "updated" a week ago, so...) USA-Today gave us the GREAT NEWS!: one of the big-Pharma companies has come out with a PILL to treat duh Chyna virus! Isn't that faaabulous news?
This GREAT NEWS is from "Karen Weintraub," who USA-Today bills as their "Patient safety enterprise reporter." Not sure what that actually means, but hey, she's got the words "patient safety" in her title so she must be a researcher or doctor or something similar. Surely she's not just a paid flack, pushing whatever some cash-flush company pays her to write, right?
So Karen says if you catch duh virus, you'll only need to take this pill twice a day for 5 days, and you're cured! No word on whether taking one a week or so might even prevent you from gettin' duh Chyna virus in the first place, but I'm betting we'll see that story real soon!
Okay, the report says the drug actually just "prevented half of severe coronavirus infections that would otherwise have sent people to the hospital," but all the participants had at least one risk factor for severe infection--either over 60 or had diabetes, obesity or heart disease. So for practical purposes you could most likely call it a cure.
Karen says "Since early in the pandemic, public health officials have hoped for effective antivirals that could help prevent severe infection in people exposed to [covid]. But sadly, nothing worked. So "In June, the Biden administration allocated $3.2 billion toward the development of an antiviral, saying the drugs would be a crucial part of the fight against the virus.
Moreover, Karen says the president's advisors are so sure this drug is THE solution that they've already "earmarked" $1.2 billion of that $3.2 billion to buy 1.7 million doses of the drug--if the FDA approves it, of course.
WOW, the president's advisors are so smart, such great scientists, to have already "earmarked" over a billion dollars to buy 1.7 million doses of the wonder-drug. So when you get this wonderful new drug, be sure to thank co-presidents Joe and Kammie.
So what's in this wonderful new pill, and how much will it cost?
Hey, slow down, citizen! First your FDA must approve it--and you know how long something like that takes! They've got to do FDA-approved trials. Can't just take a company's word that it works, right? And then there's the crucial problem of the government deciding who should be given this wonderful drug first. Obviously members of congress, of course, cuz our wonderful government depends on their leadership. But since there are just 535 of those elites, shouldn't be too much delay.
After members of congress, "people of color" would obviously get it first, cuz...well, that doesn't need explaining. Then trannies, gays and lesbians, for the same reason. Then drug users, because they have compromised immune systems, and if we don't save drug users the cartels will go out of business. Can't have that! Then people in prison, cuz that's only fair.
So by the time HHS Secretary Doctor Xavier Becerra finally gives you permission to buy it, you'll be so desperate that you won't worry about the cost--which may be the point. (Wait...ya say the head of HHS is NOT a doctor? Eh, not important.)
Wait...what was your question again? Oh yeah, you asked what was in this breakthrough pill that made it SO faaabulously effective in protecting people from duh virus an' savin' lives!
Um...we can't tell ya. Seriously, it's proprietary. Trade secret. But you can be sure it's the result of hundreds of millions of dollars of research! But as soon as we find out, we'll be the first to tell ya!
Wait...what?? Ya say the only ingredients in this wonderpill are vitamin D-3, zinc, and "molnupiravir"?
Richard Plemper, a professor at Georgia State University, was the principal investigator for a grant from the National Institutes of Health to explore use of molnupiravir against the flu. In late 2019 the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases--headed by one "Anthony Fauci"-- approved moving molnupiravir into Phase I clinical trials for the flu.
In March 2020 the research team wondered if the drug might be useful against duh Chyna virus. And sure enough, in January of this year the team published their results in a peer-reviewed journal, showing the drug was orally effective against SARS-CoV-2 in ferrets.
But the really stunning finding was that the drug completely blocked transmission of the virus to untreated contacts. Wow, that's really impressive!
So Fauci knew before January of this year that this drug was stunningly effective in mammals. And on June 17th of this year the results of a human trial were submitted to the NIH site PubMed. Summary:
Participants were randomized 1:1 to 200 mg molnupiravir or placebo, or 3:1 to molnupiravir (400 or 800 mg) or placebo, twice-daily for 5 days. Antiviral activity was assessed as time to undetectable levels of viral RNA by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction and time to elimination of infectious virus isolation from nasopharyngeal swabs.
Results: Among 202 treated participants, virus isolation was significantly lower in participants receiving 800 mg molnupiravir (1.9%) versus placebo (16.7%) at Day 3 (p = 0.02). At Day 5, virus was not isolated from any participants receiving 400 or 800 mg molnupiravir, versus 11.1% of those receiving placebo (p = 0.03). Time to viral RNA clearance was decreased and a greater proportion overall achieved clearance in participants administered 800 mg molnupiravir versus placebo (p = 0.01). Molnupiravir was generally well tolerated, with similar numbers of adverse events across all groups.
Conclusions: Molnupiravir is the first oral, direct-acting antiviral shown to be highly effective at reducing nasopharyngeal SARS-CoV-2 infectious virus and viral RNA and has a favorable safety and tolerability profile.
Are ya with me so far? So again, Fauci knew the results of this human trial well before the paper was submitted on 17 June, yet he's still pushing the ineffective faux-vax. Why?
Oh, dat's right: The new drug hasn't been approved by duh FDA. So how long is that likely to take?
Hey, this is a TOP priority for the agency, so they're working night and day to approve it. And we expect approval really soon--certainly before 2024. And until then there is "no FDA-approved treatment for covid," meaning Fauci and biden can continue to DEMAND that every American be forced to take the non-vaccine jab.
Still think this is all about public health?
Oh, and about the cost: According to "Karen" at USA-Today, the gruberment has earmarked $1.2 BILLION to buy 1.7 million "doses" of the new wonderdrug. (Other sources say 1.7 million "courses" so that leaves a lot of uncertainty. Could be ten times more pills.) Dividing cost by "doses" gives a bit over $700 per either pill or "course," depending on which source is correct.
Merck has already told investor groups that the company expects to sell $9 billion worth of the drug.
Now, if you wanna see how effective the campaign to scare Americans away from using any alternative drug to treat duh Chyna virus, check out this broadside from liberal mouthpiece Wikipedia:
During the COVID-19 pandemic, misinformation has been widely spread claiming that ivermectin is beneficial for treating and preventing COVID-19. Such claims are not backed by credible scientific evidence. Research into its use is ongoing, and multiple major health organizations, including the FDA, CDC, the European Medicines Agency and the World Health Organization have stated that ivermectin is not authorized or approved to treat COVID-19.
But despite all those "expert" agencies WARNING that anyone who used the drug was surely inviting death, the WHO and our own CDC collaborated to give this exact same drug to 100 million covid-infected people in India--99% of whom recovered within days. Gosh, you'd think that would warrant an update by Wiki, eh? But of course, they kept the same scary bullshit warnings. It's like the CDC is pretending it doesn't know anything about the trial it helped to conduct.
Ivermectin has been pushed by right-wing politicians and activists promoting it as a supposed COVID treatment. Misinformation about ivermectin's efficacy spread widely on social media, fueled by publications that have since been retracted, misleading "meta-analysis" websites with substandard methods, and conspiracy theories about efforts by governments and scientists to "suppress the evidence." Public discussion over ivermectin has been characterized by wrong attitudes regarding the interpretation of the evidence.
"You have wrong attitude, comrade! You stay prison til attitude changes!"
In response to widespread misuse, the U.S. FDA, CDC, World Health Organization, American Medical Association, American Pharmacists Association, and American Society of Health-System Pharmacists issued statements in 2021 warning that ivermectin is not approved or authorized for the treatment or prevention of COVID-19, and advised against its use for that purpose outside of clinical trials.
They REALLY don't want Americans using ivermectin! So they're LETTING Americans who have covid DIE instead of letting 'em take a 30-cent pill that has saved the lives of tens of millions of covid cases in India. The CDC knew it was that effective last July, yet they still haven't permitted it to be used on Americans.
WHY??? The KNOW it works. If you've had a loved one die from covid in the last six months--and Americans are reportedly still dying at the rate of roughly 1,500 every DAY-- you should be going after the people who did this.
