Hundreds of flights into Florida cancelled Friday night. Southwest execs blame weather, ATC problems. Bloggers: Really?

Lord, this is a HOOT!  If you don't think the Lying Mainstream Media are totally kissing the ass of the Democrats who rule every branch of government, read on.  Maybe this will convince you when the VAST amount of proven lies/propaganda about covid couldn't:

Late Friday afternoon Southwest Airlines started cancelling hundreds of flights into Florida.  Hundreds.  Stranding literally thousands of travellers all over the country.  It was a huge deal, and normally reporters would be demanding to know why, interviewing Southwest execs, the FAA, DHS...everyone.

So did so-called "reporters" demand answers about this highly unusual event?  Hmmm... let's see: Didja see a word about this in the Lying Mainstream Media?   Did the TV networks do 30-second "newsbreaks" during commercial breaks on the gazillion football games yesterday to tell ya about it?

I didn't see a single one, and I'm betting you didn't either.  Not a WORD about it.  Gee, does that strike you as a bit...odd?

If the Mainstream Media was unusally incurious (on orders from execs), bloggers did the Media's job, looking for the explanation.  And it was...a hoot.

First Southwest claimed "weather problems."  Oh, and "ATC problems."  Then bloggers  pulled up national weather radar (you can do that, for any part of the country, but of course you knew that) and found that Florida had no weather problems AT ALL.  Hmmmm...

Plus, Southwest was cancelling flights for Sunday on Friday night.  How would they know that the weather was going to be so bad two days later that they'd have to cancel flights?  (sarc)

Then another blogger checked the FAA website to see if Air Traffic Control was having problems in Florida.  FAA was mum--but of course if there had been a big "sick-out" by air traffic controllers--say, protesting Porridgebrain Biden's order demanding that all federal employees take the jab or be fired, do ya really think the totally-political muppets running FAA (under Pete Buttigeig) would ever admit it?

Of course they wouldn't.

Hmmmm...I'm pretty sure Nashville isn't in Florida.  Does Jax Center control traffic into Nashville?  (No.)

Then another blogger pulled up a list of cancelled flight into Florida (above).  Wow, check out the HUGE proportion of cancellations by just one airline:  Southwest.  That's a big clue.

Turns out a week or so ago, the once-savvy execs who run SWA decided they need to kiss Democrat ass by agreeing to enforce Porridgebrain's order that all employeess had to take the jab or be fired.  Lots of Southwest's employees objected vehemently, but the execs said (in essence) "Fuck 'em, we can do whatever we want, cuz biden has given us the cover we need!  We don't wanna miss out on the next $100 million he gives to airlines who comply.  Besides, we expect only a few stubborn, selfish employees will refuse, cuz Doctor Tony has convinced everyone the vax is, like, TOTALLY SAFE.  Besides, if a few employees quit, it'll be easy to replace 'em! "

Yes, that's apparently what passes for "thinking" among wokie execs.

Then a couple of days ago a Southwest pilot--18-year veteran-- posted a video on the Net explaining the insanity of Porridgebrain's unconstitutional ORDER, slavishly enforced by the wokie execs at SWA.  Think maybe that video might have been viewed by, oh, 80 percent of the airline's pilots?  And that pilots who didn't want to take the jab figured "If I'm gonna be fired anyway, might as well call in sick for my next scheduled flight, eh?"

So the betting now seems to be that the problem was a sick-out by Southwest pilots.

Of course Southwest execs will fight back, cuz if there's one thing we all know about high-paid execs it's that they virtually never admit to making a mistake--much like politicians and their dumb policy-makers.

But it's also possible that controllers at Jacksonville Center did call in sick, for the same reason as  Southwest's pilots--biden's order that everyone must take the jab or be fired.  The only thing that weighs against that theory is that almost all the cancelled flights were Southwest.  If Jax Center had been short of controllers it woul have affected every airline equally.

The FAA added a new alleged "reason" for problems: "active military training."

“Due to a combination of severe weather, active military training in the airspace, and unexpected limited staff at the Jacksonville facility that handles high-altitude, en route traffic, the FAA took steps to safely manage air traffic the evening of Oct. 8. Normal operations returned at approximately 10 p.m.”

Of course it's odd that a) other airlines had no problems; and b) Southwest cancelled flights in California at the same time.  Amazing that the alleged severe weather and "active military training" affected the entire country, eh?

The biden regime is just throwing ideas with any relevance to air travel out there and hoping low-info voters will bite on at least one of the excuses.  But if air traffic controllers called in sick, so much the better.  Still, Southwest has a huge problem that doesn't seem to have affected other airlines.

Amazing what a few brave people willing to fight can do, eh?

I'm eagerly waiting for a reporter to ask the charming, incredibly well qualified Secr. of Transporation about this.  But I don't expect that to happen.

Now for the main point:  Why the virtual media blackout about this?  Reason is that it's the first VISIBLE domino to fall.  I suspect others will follow:  truckers, nurses and yes, air traffic controllers.  Unlike waiters or Amazon warehouse workers, companies and government are unlikely to be able to get replacements for highly-trained, specialized workers in a few days.  Some of those skills require months or even years of training.

Porridgebrain and his corrupt, marxist handlers either didn't think this through, or else bet it wouldn't happen.  Looks like they were wrong.  But of course the Lying Mainstream Media doesn't want you to know about this little "glitch in the matrix", cuz it might trigger other employees to stand up for freedom, and might cost the Dems a few more votes.

"Hey, no problem," Susan Rice and Kamala and others are saying, "We just get our media friends to ignore the story, and it'll blow over.  All will be as we have ordered."

Update: At 9am today, MSN finally posted about this event.  Apparently they realized the story was starting to get out, so the regime needed to start damage control.  So unsurprisingly, the article was full of all the easily-disproven excuses noted above.  Wonder how long the regime will keep up this Narrative?
