NY Times "science reporter" "reports" 12 times more children hospitalized with covid than actual #

Apoorva Mandavilli works at the NY Times, where she bills herself as a "science journalist."  She's a shameless partisan liar.  Example:

In an article published by New York Times on Wednesday, Mandavilli claimed that “nearly 900,000 children have been hospitalized with COVID-19 since the pandemic began.”

SEE?  Look at that HUGE number!  Your precious children are gonna DIE unless you take 'em in and get 'em vaxxed!

Wait...The correct number of American kids hospitalized between August 2020 and last week is is 63,000.

That means Mandavilli exaggerated the number of child hospitalizations by 837,000 cases. Approximately 500 American children have died from the disease.

Of course the Times issued a correction.  But of course far fewer people see the correction.  Moreover, many newspapers re-print articles  the Times but don't bother printing the corrections.  The result is that the lie is believed by a million or so gullible Americans.

"Wait..Dis not true!  New York Times would not lie to American people!"

Yeah.  Except they did, overstating the number of children hospitalized by the Chyna virus by a mere 1,200 percent!  And the most telling fact fact is that after such absolutely awful "science reporting," Mandavilli still works for the Times.  Tells you everything you need to know.
