What the bureaucrats at the CDC learned from HIV that they're using now

In 1981 doctors in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles began seeing seemingly-healthy young men sicken and die within months, their immune systems apparently destroyed.  No treatment seemed to help, and the fatality rate was almost 100%.

But within a month a big clue was apparent:  They mysterious disease almost exclusively infected homosexual males and intravenous drug users.  In fact for the first year, research papers called the disease "Gay-related Immunodeficiency Disease."

The CDC began spending huge amounts of money searching for the cause, but immediately recognized that it would be hard to get congress to appropriate billions of dollars to fight a disease that almost exclusively killed gay males and I-V drug users.  So they...um..."adjusted the narrative," warning that the virus could infect anyone.  Technically true, but for 98% of Americans it was a scare story.

Sound familiar?

For nearly two years the cause remained a mystery, but by 1983 researchers had identified a previously unknown virus they would call the Human Immunodeficiency Virus.

The bureaucrat-scientists at CDC knew gay men and intravenous drug users were at far higher risk of contracting HIV than the general public.  But they instantly recognized that if they explained that reality openly, it would be much harder to get billions of dollars to research the disease.

So they didn’t.

Instead the CDC created an advertising campaign--"America Responds to AIDS"--whose message was "everyone is at risk."  The CDC got the money they wanted, but at the cost of causing needless fear in people at vanishingly low risk.

Which brings us to COVID.  For almost a year the TV networks constantly displayed a box showing the number of deaths and "cases."  The box was bright red and seemed designed to scare people.  Even though the numbers showed that the virus only killed about one percent of those infected, no one did that math--setting the scene for full-blown panic.

The Media was open about the fact that the virus was more deadly to older people, but few Americans know that the *average* age of those killed by the virus was greater than the average lifespan of all Americans.  Also, the number of deaths attributed to flu, pneumonia, heart attack and stroke during 2020 fell dramatically.  Since no one seriously suggests that those causes of death decreased, the drop in reported deaths from those causes suggests that the number of deaths *caused* by the virus was significantly less than reported.

But what the CDC has been most careful to avoid telling the public is that younger people almost never die from the disease.  This is critical because the government is getting ready to force children as young as ten to be vaccinated--something that makes absolutely no sense given the fact that the young have a greater chance of being struck by lightning than dying from the virus.

If you think forcing kids to be vaccinated is hyperbole, note that the largest teachers' union in the U.S. (the NEA) has already said they won't go back to classroom teaching unless all students are vaccinated.  And if you think the biden*harris regime will buck the nation's largest voting bloc, you're naive.

You might think parents would be using social media to discuss the question of risk of the vax versus risk of the virus to their kids, but if you try doing that your account will be deleted or locked--the social-media dictators claim it's "misinformation."  People have been deleted merely for quoting CDC figures!

Democrat politicians have found a fear-inducing issue they've already used to a) shut down the economy; b) switch to all-mail voting; c) force people to wear masks everywhere; d) levy fines on anyone found outside without a mask; and e) force people to take the jab to attend public events in some states.  The next move is to force you to have your children vaccinated, despite the fact that even the CDC admits that the risk of the virus to kids is vanishingly small.
