Repub legislature in Wisconsin repeals Dem governor's mask order; one hour later, gov issues a new order

In the Peoples' Democratic Republic of Wisconsinstan, people were tired of the Democrat governor's orders forcing everyone to wear a mask and stay home, as it was killing business and jobs, and the mask is totally useless except as an indicator of who is eager to obey dumb-ass orders.

So yesterday the Republican legislature voted to eliminate the governor's orders.

Just one hour later, Democratic Gov. Tony Evers declared a new health emergency and issued a new order requiring face masks in public indoor places.  In a videotaped statement Evers claimed he issued his new order "to avoid unnecessary risk to the public's health."

He also made the totally false claim that if he hadn't acted, the state would have been at risk of losing tens of millions of dollars a month in federal food assistance.

Republican lawmakers claim the Democrat governor didn't have the authority to issue the order in the first place and that his mandate violates the state constitution. This claim is now before the corrupt Wisconsin Supreme Court, and we know who they'll support.

But here's the real hoot:  According to the local leftist rag, "the Legislature's move to eliminate the mandate went against pleas from doctors, hospital administrators, nurses, teachers, dentists, **small business owners and church leaders** to keep the mandate in place *to preserve its effects on public health and consumer confidence while the outbreak persists.*

Wait...the Leftist paper is claiming "small-business owners and church leaders" want to keep the mask mandate in place?  I'm calling bullshit on that.  Small businesses hate the mask mandate.  But of course the Leftist rag would lie as soon as tell the truth.
