China Joe's nominee for Attorney-general won't say he'll have his agency prosecute illegal border crossing--the Dems' goal

The Attorney-general of the U.S. is supposed to be the top law-enforcement officer in the country.  His department runs the FBI--supposedly the top "law-enforcement agency" in the country.

In case you missed it, the senate is having a confirmation hearing for China Joe's nominee for Attorney-general (again, supposedly the top law-enforcement officer in the government).  That person is judge Merrick Garland, whom Obozo nominated to the Supreme Court.  The senate didn't bring that nomination up for confirmation, so China Joe nominated Garland to the AG post.

Now, the AG is supposed to enforce U.S. law.  Thus most Americans would expect that if the nominee was asked "Do you plan to enforce U.S. immigration laws," you'd think the guy would say "Senator, I will do everything in my power to enforce all U.S. laws.  That's my job."

So many would be surprised by Garland's answer when a senator asked him "Do you believe that illegal entry at America's borders should remain a crime," Garland's answer was...odd.  He stammered and hemmed and hawed, saying he'd never thought about that.  His mannerisms clearly indicated huge psychological conflict.

His answer to the next question was even more confused:

Senator: "Will you continue to prosecute unlawful border crossings?" 

Garland: "Well, uh, this is again a question of allocation of resources.  Uh, we've all...uh, the department will, uh, prevent, uh, unlawful crossing.  I don't know...uh, I'll have to admit I just don't know, uh, what the conditions are and just how this is done.  I think if, um, um, so, I don't know what the current program even is with respect to this, um, um, so I assume the answer would be yes but I don't know ah, ah, ah, what the conditions surrounding it are."

Either this man is lying, or he's an idiot.  Unless someone just arrived on the planet, one can't possibly be unaware that illegal immigration is a huge problem, and clearly against the law.  Yet he was unwilling to say he'd enforce U.S. immigration law and prosecute anyone who enters the U.S. illegaly.

Of course this is exactly what China Joe and the gang surrounding him want:  Open borders.  We warned you they'd do it, and here ya go.  Garland is merely demonstrating what we all knew when Obozo tried to get him on the Supreme Court:  He'll order the DOJ not to enforce laws the Dems don't want to enforce--like immigration law.
