A teachers' organization is demanding that schools stop teaching any works by Shakespeare, claiming he's racist

A national teachers' organization is demanding that schools stop teaching Shakespeare and other Western authors.

Naturally you can't believe any so-called "educators" would demand such a thing, right?  Seems far to crazy even for Hahvahd-trained "educators."  But it's real.

Lorena German, who heads a committee on anti-racism on the National Council of Teachers of English  and co-founded a group named Disrupt Texts, insisted “This is about White supremacy and colonization. Everything about [Shakespeare's plays] is problematic."  She claims teaching Shakespearean plays "disrupts the ways people are characterized and developed.”

Ah yes, Shakespeare the Disruptor.

Lest ye thinkest that bitching about Shakespeare is just the province of communist members of national teachers groups, think again:  The University of Pennsylvania removed a portrait of the bard from its English Department to show their commitment to"racial sensitivity and diversity."

Amanda McGregor, a Minnesota-based librarian wrote in the January issue of School library journal  that “Shakespeare’s work is full of problematic and outdated ideas, lots of misogyny, racism, homophobia, class discrimination, anti-Semitism, misogyny”

Many teachers have replaced Shakespeare with trendy modern "woke" works.  Some advocate replacing Shakespeare with “Hunger Games.”  

Seriously.  The wokesters are bent on destroying all references to actual civilization, replacing them with Hollywood schlock.  All part of the Plan, comrade.
