Dem senator whines that Trump has rendered the U.S. "impotent", does a U-turn after Trump orders retaliation
Chris Murphy is a Democrat senator. He's on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Two days ago he gloated that the storming of our embassy in Baghdad showed that Trump was
“impotent” to respond to Iranian attacks. Here are his words:
“The attack on our embassy in Baghdad is horrifying but predictable. Trump has rendered America impotent in the Middle East. No one fears us, no one listens to us. America has been reduced to huddling in safe rooms, hoping the bad guys will go away. What a disgrace.”Let's parse the Democrat senator's tweet for a minute:. "Trump has rendered America impotent."
Really, senator?
But just one day later--yesterday, after our armed forces--acting on President Trump’s orders--vaporized Iran's top general Qassem Soleimani at the Baghdad airport, Murphy did a fast U-turn, tweeting that the real problem was NOT that Trump had rendered America impotent, but instead that the problem was actually that Trump was being too aggressive:
“Soleimani was an enemy of the United States. That’s not a question. The question is this – as reports suggest, did America just assassinate, without any congressional authorization, the second most powerful person in Iran, knowingly setting off a potential massive regional war?”

Wow. Complete U-turn. What a useless prick. First he whines "Trump has made America impotent," but then when Trump orders our excellent military to take out the leader of the Iranian Quds forces (Iran's terrorist organization), Chris Murphy whines that Trump has "knowingly set off a potential massive regional war."
Just...wow.
