January 01, 2020

In 1990 the Washington Post ran this story on its front page: "
"Earth will warm on average by about 3 degrees Fahrenheit by the year 2020."
"The United States, because it occupies a large continent in higher latitudes, could warm by as much as 6 degrees F."
'OMG we're all gona die!!!"

Well, surprise!  Here we are in 2020.  How well did the Post's prediction (virtual DOOM) pan out?

Most of us would agree that the planet is still here.  And according to NASA--an agency which has been proven to alter historic and current measured temps to make it appear that global warming exists--the Earth has warmed approximately 1 degree F according to NASA.

How about the U.S.--which the Post warned could warm as much as 6 degrees?

The U.S. also warmed roughly 1 degree over those 30 years.

Amusingly, a spokesman for the left-wing globalists at the Union for Concerned Scientists declined to comment.  (The UCS has been one of the top screamers that global warming will kill us.)

Did the leftists at the United Nations apologize for scaring children by claiming we were all doomed because we burn carbon fuels?

Hahahahahaha!  I see you just arrived on the planet.  Do enjoy your stay!

Of course the UN didn't apologize.  Experts never apologize when they're wrong.  Instead they attack the people who claim they were wrong.  In this case the UN simply cited their "latest report" that shows current temperatures are "just within the predictions we made in 1990."  Then they very quietly admit that actual temperatures came in “on the lower end of expectations."

Now get ready to hear a wave of excuses for why the "expert" predictions were so far off.  First up is the UN experts explaining that the lower-than-expected warming is due to a 1991 volcanic eruption in the Philippines.  Amusingly, the UN says its new models account for volcanoes.  This is amusing because last I heard, volcanic eruptions were totally random, so hard to predict until the rumblings started.

The UN now predicts a rise of about 2 to 5 degrees Fahrenheit from today to the year 2100.  But according to the UN this is still enough to kill everyone on Earth.

And of course Democrat darling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has told us all life on Earth will end in ten years anyway.  Or is it 12?  But of course there's no practical difference, so..."We're all gonna die!"
