Dems and open borders

All the Democrat presidential candidates are for open borders ("virtual fence" as opposed to a real, you know, fence). By contrast, real Republicans (not RINOs) are against open borders.

So the newest "analysis" being trotted out by the Lying Mainstream Media is..."BOTH SIDES are extreme!"

Wait, what?

"Yeah, citizen, the "logic" [sarc] is obvious:  Some goofy, uninformed sources claim open borders is resulting in 100,000 "illegals" waltzing across every MONTH.  Finishing the wall and effectively closing the border would mean maybe 4,000 per month.  So the OBVIOUS solution is to split the difference, passing a law to allow 52,000 unvetted people who waltz across to become citizens!  See how obvious it is?"

Of course the Dem candidates know that most Americans don't want open borders, so some of the candidates are...a bit coy about the question.  "Oh, we're really in favor of border security!" they piously claim.  But if you ask 'em "Define 'border security' they talk about a "virtual fence."

So try asking 'em what they mean by "virtual fence."

Oh, it's got cameras on poles at half-mile spacing.  Oh, and detectors.

Okay, seems ta me a "fence" keeps people out.  But what you just describe doesn't even remotely do that.  So how is your "virtual fence" anything remotely like a real wall or fence?

But your conversation is over.  The armed security guard is pushing you away from the candidate, who has just covered you with bullshit.

They're for open borders.  But at least for now they don't want to admit they're for Open Borders...because they have to trick the rubes.  So they'll pretend to be in favor of "border security" while blocking every measure other than their illusory "virtual fence."

Is this a great system or what?
