College professor who ambush-assaulted 7 people in Berkeley with deadly weapon gets probation

If you hit four people over the head with a deadly weapon, as an ambush attack--all caught on video--what do you think a reasonable punishment would be?

Well if you're a leftist college professor near Berkeley, the answer is...probation, and dropping of felony-assault charges.

Eric Clanton is a miserable little leftist piece of shit.  Last year during shouting matches between Antifa thugs and conservatives, on seven occasions (on the same day) Clanton jumped out from behind concealment to bash an opponent over the head with a U-style bike lock.

Let's be perfectly clear here:  No scuffle or fight was taking place.  It wasn't self-defense.  The little ambushing piece of shit popped forward from behind cover and bashed another person, who was simply *speaking*.

He was originally charged with four counts of felony assault with a deadly weapon, causing great bodily injury,

But because the entire city of Berkeley is corrupt from top to bottom, the philosophy "professor" has been offered a sweetheart plea deal:  three years of probation, without admitting to felony assault.
 Last Wednesday Clanton was scheduled for a "preliminary hearing," (15 months after the assault). Instead, following a carefully arranged script, there was no hearing.  Instead, information about Clanton’s plea deal was posted online.

According to court records Clanton entered a “no contest” plea to one misdemeanor battery charge. The felony charges against him were dismissed, and an allegation that he had caused serious bodily injury was stricken. A misdemeanor charge that Clanton wore a mask during the commission of the crime also was dropped.

Cool, eh?

Earlier court filings revealed that Clanton struck at least seven people in the head.

There are definitely two sets of laws in the U.S.  If you live in a Left-ruled area, you can assault seven people with a deadly weapon, ambush-style, and not only be sentenced to no jail time, but also have felony charges dropped.

Sweet.

Corrupt leftist prosecutors and judges don't understand--and wouldn't believe if you explained it to 'em--is that by refusing to prosecute Clanton they have convinced another 50,000 Americans that the law lets guilty leftists go free.  They've proved yet again that there are two sets of laws--one for the favored, in which a perp could murder a 5-year-old on national television and get no jail time--and a second set for ordinary citizens, who are sentenced to jail for buying gensing.

The corrupt prosecutors see no consequence to letting favored people laugh at law-breaking.  Because they're convinced the good people of this country will never hold them accountable.

And actually they may be right.
