Rising Democrat star crafts a "narrative"
For those of you who don't follow New York City politics, a 28-year-old female won the Dem primary for the Bronx, defeating a ten-term incumbent.
The winner--Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez--is a full-blown socialist, member of the Democratic Socialists of America, supporter of Bernie Sanders and free college, a guaranteed federal job, or guaranteed annual income for those who don't want to work, housing as a guaranteed right, abolishig ICE and impeaching Trump. Oh, and she accused ICE of running "black sites"--i.e. secret sites--on the southern border. No evidence was provided, nor was any requested by incurious reporters, because rising Dem star.
She portrayed herself as a hard-working gal from the Bronx. Only one problem: At age 5 she moved to wealthy Westchester County.
But hey, being wealthy while pretending to be a member of the working class is a great way to get elected. Look how well Bernie Sanders has done with this shtick. Even Hilliary claimed "When we left the White House we were $16 million in debt!" And Dems absolutely swooned.
So let's welcome another Dem "narrative" in the making. Like Elizabeth Warren pretending to be native American to land a Harvard professorial position as a supposed "minority." It's all good, eh?
