Number of illegal entries to the U.S. in the last two months is almost double last year's record

Think way, waaay back to last year.  Remember some sort of rumors about thousands of unaccompanied minors from Mexico and central America sneaking across our southern border?

Recall anything about the emperor ordering these thousands to either be released into the U.S. or to be housed--at a cost of a couple of hundred bucks per kid per day--until they could be transferred to some inland city?  It was described as "a crisis"--naturally--but the emperor assured us that this was just a meaningless "surge"--almost certainly caused by global warming!--and the flood of illegals would stop real soon.

Of course most Americans believed this, since their emperor had never lied to 'em ever before, so why would he lie about this?

Well it turns out...the surge of unaccompanied illegal immigrant "children" has continued unabated.
Two months into the new fiscal year, the number of unaccompanied minors jumping the border and getting caught is at an all-time high. So far, the U.S. Border Patrol has picked up over 10,500 — more than twice the number at the same point last year.

The number of families entering the U.S. illegally has also surged— up 173 percent over last year.

Usually the number of people sneaking across our border is highest in spring and early summer.  Why is the flood of illegals this year so high in what should be a low season?  They've heard that the emperor has ordered federal employees to stop deporting illegals.  Also, parents in Mexico and Central American countries know your emperor issued a decree that once a young illegal immigrant makes it into the U.S, he or she can bring their parents in legally.  (See "Deferred action for parents of childhood arrivals.")

At Obama's orders, illegal immigrant minors from countries other than Mexico or Canada cannot be sent home quickly.  Instead they're sent to live in juvenile homes or with sponsors, awaiting court dates that often don’t come for years.  And of course almost 80 percent don't show up for their hearings.

“New arrivals are telling the Border Patrol they came because they knew they would be allowed to stay,” Jessica Vaughan, policy studies director at the Center for Immigration Studies, told the Senate Judiciary Committee last week. “If we want to change that incentive, the policy has to change.”

Of course as long as a Democrat is president, that policy will never change.  Probably won't change even in the unlikely event that a Repub were to win.

Oh well.  We need more "vibrant diversity" here anyway, right?  More Muzz, more Syrian terrorists, more folks from central America.  Cuz no matter how many are here, it will never be enough for the Left/Democrats/socialists.
