Leftist think-tank: "U.S. needs to bail out Spain"

One constant refrain from Leftists is "We need to help that [person or group] over there. How much cash you got?"

In the latest example the founders and co-directors of a "progressive" (i.e. Leftist) think tank have proposed that the Federal Reserve of the U.S. give a few hundred billion dollars to...Spain...to bail out its banks.

Say what??

Realizing that this would probably rub most Americans the wrong way, the founders of the liberal Center for Economic and Policy Research hasten to reassure us that this "intervention" wouldn't cost American taxpayers a dime...because...well, see, the explanation is really esoteric and you won't be able to understand it unless you're a liberal/"progressive", see.

Another amusing claim from these morons is that bailing out Spanish banks is actually "within the mandate" of the Fed!

If you're hazy on how that works, these compassionate Leftists say the connection is that "the Eurozone crisis is affecting unemployment in the U.S."

Seems t' me it'd be far less expensive to us in the long term to just burn down every tenth home in the U.S. and use Fed bucks to rebuild it.

And yes, that was sarcasm.
