Movable goalposts
The utterly corrupt, thieving government of New York City is paying $43 Billion of taxpayer dollars to "educate" K-12 students this year.
That's $44,000 per student per year.
And "educate" is a *very* amorphous word--like Cackles Harris, it means anything the speaker wants it to mean.
Dems believe what the teachers' unions have always said: if you want better results, ya gotta pay top dollar, right? The average state spends way less than half that (poor Oklahoma City spends $13,200 per student per year), but duh gummint of NYC believes that spending mo' cash gives top results, right?
C'mon, moronic Democrats! Let's hear it: "Spending more gives top results, RIGHT?"
Democrats: "Yeah. Reeeally."
Me: "Thanks. So how did NYC students do on, say, reading proficiency exams this year, eh?"
Dems: "Uh...sorry, can't chat. Got a plane to catch! Later, MAGAt!"
So typical: turns out less than half of 3rd, 4th and 5th-graders passed the basic "English Language Arts" test.
Democrats: "Tests beez RAAAAaaacist! Ebrywun know dat! Aks 'em sumpin *useful,* like 'Who Cardi B? Or "Who Lizzo?" Or 'Which political party gibs yo' mom mo' free stuff?" Or "Say you got a chance to score 500 ballots fo' duh November elections. How much kin yew get fo' sellin' em?' See, *useful shit* like dat!"
This is the future: The black "chancellor" of NYC schools is Kamar Samuels. I haven't even bothered to look up his salary yet, but I'll predict it's $400K per year, before "benefits." That's Fauci-level grift. But he has all the qualfications needed, right?
A VP of the United Federation of Teachers union (yet another teachers' union to have to placate, after NEA and AFT) blamed terrible test scores on "changes in curriculum and teaching strategies," one of which allows students to graduate *without passing a single standardized test!* "Dis beez SO cool, comrade! We don' like standardized tests, so we simply invented a workaround that will let ouah students granulate [sic] wifout passin' no dumb test!"
If Dems don't like a goal post, move it.
