Amusement in Maine

It's been delightful to watch the squirming of the Democrat party of Maine after yet another woman accused the winner of the party's primary for U.S. senate, Graham Platner, of raping her.

For those who haven't been following: the Democrat party of Maine said if Platner didn't drop out, they wouldn't give him any money.  And sure enough, the Dem-fellating Media has reported that he's dropped out.

So now the Dems have two weeks to replace him as the nominee.  The Partei says they're gonna "select" 600 elite Dems to choose the new nominee.

Wow, shades of Cackles, eh?  Nominate someone who never entered a primary.

Democrats (all, not just in Maine): "We kin elect anyone we want, wifout worryin' about whut ouah voters say, because we "represent them."  Dat's Democracy, citizen!"

Finally there's this: one day after the latest rape accusation against Platner, a Democrat who was the former head of the state senate filed for the U.S. senate seat for which Platner is running.

The man is Troy Jackson, who unsuccessfully ran for governor.  He says he's "progressive" and that he supports all their policies.

With no delay at all, an organization called "Our Revolution," founded by the hypocritical communist Bernie Sanders, said it would support Jackson.  Sanders initially endorsed Platner but withdrew that endorsement on Monday.

Which brings up the interesting theory: suppose Jackson is really the stealth DSA candidate.  Jackson ran for governor a month ago and got just 46,000 of the 260,000 votes in the primary, so clearly not popular with voters.  But with Platner forced out, the 600 "elites" could hand the  nomination to Jackson without the bother of having to win a primary, eh?

Say, you don't suppose this was what Sanders and the DSA wanted all along, do ya?
