Dem fraud Elizabeth Warren blocked $3.8 BILLION merger to save Sprit Air; it's now out of business

Last night at 3am, Spirit Airlines closed for good. Over 14,000 jobs vanished.  Over 30 smaller airports lost service.

In 2022 JetBlue offered to acquire Spirit for $3.8 BILLION.  Shareholders, flight attendants union, everyone voted yes. 

One person blocked the merger:  socialist moron senator (and fake native American) Elizabeth Warren.

Warren said no.  She wrote letters, pressured bribem's incompetent secretary of transportation Pete Buttigieg.  She pressured bribem’s DOJ to sue to block the merger, and finally in January of 2024 a corrupt leftist federal judge killed the deal.  Read her own damn tweet from 2024:


Warren thinks you're too dumb to discover her bullshit bleat from two years ago.

The moronic Warren bleated that the merger was "runaway airline consolidation," and that blocking the merger was "standing up for consumers."  But JetBlue would have put every Spirit airplane and crew into service, to make their $3.8 BILLION offer profitable, so not a single destination would have lost service.  Yes, eliminating competition on some routes only served by those two lines would have allowed JetBlue to increase fares, but now, because of senator Elizabeth Warren and bribem's corrupt DOJ, Spirit is gone, so there's no competition now anyway!  Warren's a moron.

Warren's main argument was claiming the merger would cost consumers $1 billion a year.  How that would happen isn't clear--like every Warren claim.  But the damage from killing the merger is quite clear:  In 2023 the airline employed 14,000 Americans.  Now zero.

And that’s just the people in Spirit uniforms.  Every airline job generates 3 more in support fields.

That's about 40,000 people out of work because of one woman’s moronic crusade against the market. 

When competition ends, surviving companies always increase their prices.  And sure enough, on the 90 routes Spirit was forced to abandon, fares are 14% higher:  Oakland to Newark jumped from $135 to $288.  Fort Myers to San Juan: $92 to $219. Kansas City to Newark up 66%.

So, Fauxcohontas, how does this save consumers money?

Lower-cost carriers on a route drop fares about 20%.  Southwest pioneered this in the 90s and saved Americans $68 BILLION over 20 years.

Warren didn't want Spirit's planes, pilots and flight attendants helping JetBlue, so she killed it. That’s what moronic socialist Dem politicians do.

Then with her unique arrogance she tweeted that Spirit’s collapse is “a Biden win for flyers.”

She’s actually trying to take credit for 14,000 people losing their jobs tonight. 

This is how corrupt, moronic Democrats roll. 

Elizabeth Warren didn’t protect consumers from anything.  The 14,000 Americans who lost their jobs will go from working and paying taxes to welfare.  And Warren will blame billionaires, capitalism and Trump. 

Yet Warren calls this "a win."  In Democrat-world, down is up.
