Left-wing "intellectual" finally apologizes for supporting males competing in girls' sports

I'm happy to say I'd never heard of a so-called "intellectual" (leftist, of course) named Malcolm Gladwell before.

Like all good leftists, Gladwell always supported the Left's insane demand that people could change sex merely by claiming it.  (I know, the Left claims it's really "gender" and that there's a difference.  Sorry, fuck off.  Up is not down.  Day is not night.  Evil is not the same as good.)  

One writer says Gladwell is "one of the most celebrated intellectuals of our age."  Yes, he's written four or five books Leftists slobbered over--and for the Left, that's the test.

So the "news" is that yesterday this "celebrated intellectual"--who firmly, steadfastly supported the notion that "trans women ARE women" and therefore MUST be allowed to play on girls' teams--has finally recanted his stupidity, saying he was "ashamed" and felt "cowed" for not pushing back against the Left/wokie demand that biological males must be allowed to compete in women's sports.

No doubt that explains the flurry of pigs flying over, and the new-found popularity of ice hockey in hell. 

Google's "AI" bot says "This was widely reported as a reversal of his previous stance"-- implying that this might not be true.  No, lying bot, it WAS a total reversal of his often repeated bleat.  And that's what we need to examine here.  

Faced with a clearly absurd assertion--that people could change sex--Gladwell (like everyone) had to choose between fawning over the brilliance of that absurdity, and objecting.  He chose to go along.

Now, after years of playing along, he's confessed that he did so because he was afraid his followers (who also bought his books) would throw him out of the Left's cozy club of Kool Kidz if he disagreed with their position.

In fairness to Gladwell, most people make that same choice: they'll pretend to support something the Kool Kidz believe, to avoid being cast out of the club. 

Of course because the Left had crowned Gladwell as "an intellectual," if he'd had the courage to speak the truth it would likely have caused at least some of the leftist sheep to agree with him.  He was scared to, and now admits he chose to say things he knew were false because of social pressure. 

All leftists/liberals--and almost all Democrats--unquestioningly accepted the absurd claims that men could become women, that puberty blockers were totally safe, and that good parents must support confused ten-year-olds in making irrevocable life-altering choices leading to mutilation.

The question few have asked is: how did liberals come to believe those claims?

The answer is: due to Media and Dem government propaganda.

When leftist "think-tanks" claimed that if children weren't allowed to "transition" before age 18, they were more likely to commit suicide, virtually no one bothered to actually research those claims--even the Media outlets that endlessly repeated 'em.  Everyone just believed the "studies" were accurate.

Surprise: they weren't.  But no one was allowed to say that until about two years ago--and by then the belief in the claim of higher suicide was SO strong that even after the "studies" were exposed as false, parents refused to believe it.

So left/liberal parents accepted the propaganda without questioning it.  If they had private doubts, they never voiced those because doing so would mark the doubter as Other, with known results.  They accepted the lie because of social pressure.

Just like "global warming," or the propaganda that the covid jab was "safe and effective" even after the CDC was forced to change the official definition of a "vaccine" because of the known ineffectiveness.

Same with Media assurances that Biden was NOT senile, the "Russia collusion" hoax, and the current frenzied claim that deporting illegals is somehow immoral--despite Obozo deporting three Million without a word of protest from the Media.

Does anybody believe that if Biden's handlers had  chosen to deport Kilmar Abrego Garcia, anybody would ever have heard of him?  But when Trump tried it, the Left and their Media allies pushed a Narrative to "good liberals," and they dutifully lapped it up. 

Americans accept the Left's Narratives as true because the Media and Dems claim it's the opinion of "experts."  How often have you read the phrase "The Science is settled," eh?  And no liberals bother to do any research because..."It's settled, citizen!  Duh experts sed so."

If you find it depressing to realize that people anointed by the Media as intellectuals will support things they don't believe, due to social pressure-- even if that means sacrificing children to the woke gods--congratulations. 

Wait...it gets worse: As Fauci's hoax about the Chyna virus showed, the Deep State/Media complex is so powerful that the people who push the hoaxes are never punished for doing so.  Same with "global warming," the "Russia collusion" and the "people can change sex" hoaxes.

Leftist judges will ensure that lying propagandists never pay a price for pushing a hoax.  Good people will be furious that the hoaxers--leftist propagandists--get clean away with the fraud.

But time after time, experience has shown that they will. 

Now for a thought experiment: Now that this "celebrated intellectual" (celebrated by the NY Times and its leftist lackeys) has finally disagreed with the Left's pro-tranny idiocy, how much longer do ya think the Left will continue to tout him as "an intellectual," eh?   

Here's a hint: Google's carefully-leftist-programmed AI bot wrote that in response to his statements, Gladwell was criticized by "those who accused him of caving to political pressure and shifting his views with the prevailing cultural winds." 

Wait...that perfectly describes how the Left was able to cow Democrats into supporting their insanity in the first place!  "Prevailing cultural winds" indeed!  Wow, that's brazen!
