L.A. riots, part 4,597

The riots in L.A. were (ostensibly) triggered when ICE tried to arrest a few dozen illegal aliens.  The pro-illegal faction of the Dems said "We not gon' let that happen."

Realizing this was the "decision point"--the fork in the road of history where the U.S. either enforces immigration law or gives up--as the Democrats and invaders want--  Trump activated the National Guard.

The president’s mobilization order, signed Saturday, June 7, precisely explained the rationale: “To the extent that protests or acts of violence directly inhibit the execution of the laws, they constitute a form of rebellion against the authority of the Government of the United States.”

The Democrat party demanded that anyone in the world be allowed to enter the U.S.--without being vetted, or applying for a visa.  So: open borders (no matter how disguised).  Trump realized that if not absolutely stopped, this would be the end of the U.S. as we've known it.

That realization--and Trump's response-- has enraged the Democrat party.  It's a case of "WE want open borders!  Yew ain't givin' us whut we want, so we will destroy as much as we can!"

California leads all states in its contempt for immigration laws.  From October 1, 2022, to February 6, 2025, California’s jails and prisons refused to allow ICE agents to take custody of 13,025 illegal-alien criminals, instead releasing 'em without notifying ICE, ignoring ICE "detainers."

California’s generous welfare benefits for illegal aliens and Newsom's official proclamation that it's a "sanctuary state" have made the state a magnet for illegals.
And that encouragement of immigration lawlessness has bred a sense of entitlement.

For young Americans: There's a well-known principle here:  If a government tolerate law-breaking in one way, you get it in *every way,* because the thugs quite reasonably assume that no one will enforce ANY law.

The Democrats who rule California (and have for decades) bleat that ICE doesn't have the right to arrest illegal aliens who have committed crimes in the U.S.  That's a huge red line: either the U.S. has the power to control who enters this country, or we don't.  

Dems say "Yew don't have dat right!"  Trump says "I think we do."

Yes it IS that simple.

Karen Bass, Gavin Newscum and the open-borders lobby bleat dat the threat of being deported "creates anxiety in ouah possibly-undocumented neighbors" and thus must not be allowed.

For decades the mainstream media has wailed that any hint of deporting illegals  was making the "undocumented community” fearful.  This implies that illegals are not only entitled to enter at will, but also are entitled not to fear deportation once they illegally cross the border.  It's amazing.

To Democrats, trying to deport illegals justifies violent resistance.  So that's what they did.

To see a "microcosm" of where this goes, consider an L.A. thing called "street takeovers," in which groups of young thugs take over intersections and do "donuts" for hours. often followed by looting.

Another California thug-atrocity is called "follow-home robberies," in which thugs spot wealthy jewelry-wearers at upscale restaurants and follow them home to assault and rob 'em.  They continue to do this because there's little chance of being caught, and in any case Democrat DAs always plea-bargain charges down to nothing to bag a conviction for...loitering or some such horseshit.

So when the communist mayor of Los Angeles--Karen Bass--goes on MSNBC on Tuesday morning to say “I’m going to do everything I can to keep Angelenos safe," the Lying Mainstream Media fawns and slobbers--carefully ignoring the rest of her statement: "...no matter how they came here.”

What the communist bitch really means is "I will continue to order my police NOT to help ICE."

When the ghastly homunculus Gavin Newsom says Tuesday morning: “Keeping Californians safe has always been our number one priority,” what he means is "We will fight Trump to block him from deporting 'undocumented Americans.'"

The list of tactics used by the pro-illegal rioters is familiar: throwing "Molotov cocktails" (for young Americans, gasoline-filled bottles with lit fuses), rocks and bottles at law enforcement.  Dropping concrete blocks on police cars from freeway overpasses.  Setting at least five driverless taxis on fire.

Democrat rulers have given those who want to destroy cities free rein to do as they please.

Democratic politicians airily dismiss any destruction as "peaceful protests" and “relatively minor” (mayor Bass’s exact words), and the pro-Democrat, anti-Trump, pro-illegal media gleefully parrot this horseshit.  The Media refuse to air damning videos, instead choosing to show people milling around without doing anything damaging.  "SEE, deplorable?  Totally peaceful!"  It's so predictable.

Every Dem pol (and thus every fawning Media outlet) claims any "resistance" was merely a response to Trump’s decision to mobilize the National Guard.  They carefully ignore that Trump only called out the Guard after demonstrator prevented ICE agents from arresting illegals known to have committed violent crimes in the U.S.

Newsom blasted the deployment as “purposefully inflammatory” and a move that “will only escalate tensions.”  So all Trump needs to do is stop deportations of criminal illegals and everything will once again be fine, eh?

This is a "watershed moment:" The rioters want to end efforts to deport criminal illegals.  ALL Democrat pols support this.  But doing so would end U.S. sovereignty.  Either they're so dumb that they don't realize this, or...they want it.

Pick either choice you want, Democrats.

The failure to crush the 2020 riots as soon as they broke out led to two months of copycat riots, followed by endless smash-and-grab looting, rampant shoplifting and random assaults.  Rational adults realize that failing to respond when these assaults happen encourages it to spread--as it did.

Reporters and pundits fumed that Trump had set a trap.

“This is the fight the administration wants to have,” said an MSNBC shithead. “It wants to make the case that the President is stepping in on the side of law and order.”  OMG, can't have THAT, eh?

Inflammatory, irrational comments by media talking heads have two purposes: to trash Trump for taking decisive action, and to further inflame the street thugs.  

As always, print media are perfectly suited to hiding reality from readers: When the Wall Street Journal and the Associated Press referred to--soothingly--as “flags waved by demonstrators," almost no readers realized the flags were, as the footage revealed, Mexican flags, with a few Palestinian ones thrown in.

The illegals are literally demanding that the U.S. give California to Mexico.  Seriously, several big fat Mehicanos screamed exactly that on video.  Oh, but it was surely fake, eh?

Yesterday morning Newsom sued Trump, claiming calling out the National Guard violated the U.S. Constitution—specifically, the Tenth Amendment reserving power to the states.

That's just a smokescreen to make his lawsuit seem plausible.  The authority that Trump invoked in activating the Guard—10 U.S.C. 12406—provides that the president can out the National Guard to "repel the invasion, suppress the rebellion, or execute those laws” of the U.S. that are being violated.

Newsom's lawsuit claimed Trump used a "protest that local authorities had under control to make another unprecedented power grab.”  The city's police chief Jim McDonnell conceded on Sunday night that “this thing has gotten out of control.”
