Anti-cartel presidential candidate in Columbia shot in the head at rally
Miguel Uribe is (or by now possibly "was") running for president of Colombia. He's from a prominent political family with links to that country's Liberal Party.
His father was a union leader. His mother was a fearless journalist who was kidnapped by the Medellin drug cartel in 1991. From that you can conclude that she opposed the Medellin cartel. She was killed during a rescue attempt--from which fact rational people may conclude that Uribe doesn't like the drug cartels.
In Columbia, anyone who opposes the criminal drug cartels is instantly called "right-wing." See how neatly that works? Just like the U.S. Mainstream Media, which sides with the Left against obeying laws the Left doesn't like.
Oh, the NY Times headline called Uribe simply a "senator." Wow, subtle! Not a "presidential candidate." Make the shooting seem less outrageous, eh?
The current president of Colombia is a leftist, Gustavo Petro. Uribe was a critic of Petro, so naturally all the leftist Media--all over the world--are calling Uribe "right-wing."
Yesterday as Uribe spoke at a rally he was shot 3 times--twice in the head. The shooter was 15 years old (so for all practical purposes can't be punished).
This is how the Left wins control of entire nations. If you oppose the cartels, they'll kill you (or try to).
Leftists in the Mainstream Media: "NOooo, dis not true! We iz all SOooo peaceful! Reeally! We wuz all fo' "nuclear disarmament" by duh U.S. We pushed to get U.S. Air Force bombers removed from U.K. airfields! So, SEE? We iz all about peace!"
Now: The average American doesn't know fuck-all about Colombian politics. That's to be expected. But it doesn't take a PhD in "International Affairs" to connect the dots here.
And the conclusion is: When "law and order" is cowed into inaction, violence wins.
Anyone care to dispute that? Nah, didn't think so.
Now here's the kicker: Both sides have guns, but as anyone could predict, the side that's *more violent* controls who rules the country--by either killing opponents, or intimidating good people into not running for office.
Now: it's Colombia, and since you don't live there, why should you care, right?
Because that same problem is already here. Yes, already. You just don't know it, cuz the Mainstream Media won't show ya.
Take the rioters in L.A. trying to block the deportation of illegal aliens. If your husband or father or son isn't an ICE agent or a cop, you don't give a damn. I get it.
But what you're seeing in L.A.--as with the BLM riots of 2020--is "Colombia-light:" Beginning in 2020 with the BLM riots, the Democrats and the Left totally accepted the idea that using violence to get what they want was totally fine.
You might well wonder how they managed to get you to accept that burning 48 square blocks of Minneapolis was totally acceptable, eh?
Easy: they couched it as "a protest." And ebrywun know dat "protesting" is totally protected, right? "Free speech," eh?
If you're curious, do a google search for "George Floyd protests," then "George Floyd riots," and tell me which search returns more hits.
So by calling the victim of the attempted assassination (he's still fighting for his life) "right-wing," it totally legitimizes the shooting in the minds of every Democrat in the U.S.
Leftists: "See? Uribe wuz gon' end free medical care fo' po' pipo (a lie), and dat po' 15-year-old *child* wuz worried dat his po' mother wuz gon' lose her care (another lie). Plug in any bullshit Narrative you want.
Think that's hyperbole? Watch: Ever heard of Luigi Mangione? Of course you have. You know he was caught on video shooting the CEO of a health-insurance company in the back. Now: for the drink of your choice, tell us: what was the name of the man he murdered?
Now, I'm not defending insurance companies here, just showing ya that we're already Colombia.
Wait...I hear my liberal friends saying "Yew is comparin' apples to oranges! Luigi's victim wasn't a politician running fo' duh presidency of his country! So there! Neener neener neener!"
Ah, I see you've conveniently forgotten about Trump getting shot in Butler, PA.
Imagine the massive riots if the roles were reversed and a *Democrat* presidential candidate had been shot--only being spared death by a quarter of an inch.
Thanks to the Left, the U.S. is now virtually indistinguishable from Colombia.
If Uribe dies, the world press--all run by leftists--will barely mention it, and if they do they'll say he was a right-wing wannabee dictator--leaving unspoken the logical conclusion that the assassin did a good thing.
Imagine how American Leftists would have gloated if Trump had been killed in Butler.
We're Colombia. You just don't realize it yet.
