Brazilian comedian sentenced to 8 years in prison for telling jokes

Brazil is portrayed in the U.S. media as a cool country, eh?

That's how well propaganda works.  Cuz Brazil is ruled by a leftist dictator, and the U.S. Mainstream Media (anti-Trump, anti-capitalism, pro-left) totally plays along.

Recently a comedian named Leo Lins was sentenced to over 8 years in jail for...um...whut?

For telling jokes the leftist regime ruling Brazil didn't like.

Seriously...for making jokes in a stand-up routine that offended a liberal female judge (who would not have made her ruling without government approval).

Yep, a shithead leftist judge DECREED that Lins’s work "contributed to the spread of verbal violence in society and promotion of intolerance."

"Verbal violence"?  WTF?

See, according to duh leftist gruberment of Brazil yew cannot joke about blacks, fatties, old people, gays, trannies, evangelicals, indigenous people, Jews or people with disabilities.

Wow, if you accept that  (spoiler: it's now legal precedent, for what dat worth)  what CAN you joke about, eh?

Female leftist judge Barbara de Lima Iseppi ruled that "The place of humour is not a lawless land."

That sounds like something Cackles would bleat: The inference is that there are now laws governing jokes.  Not actual laws, of course, but the special unwritten kind beloved by dictators.  The kind regime defenders explain as "Oh, gud pipo wud nevah think to doo dat!"

Leftist female Judge: "All such jokes are illegal because I DECREED that anyone who joked about those topics would be sentenced to 8 years in prison!"

See how well that works, deplorable?

She added, "In the event of a conflict between freedom of expression and human dignity and legal equality, the latter must prevail."

That's a very flowery, anodyne way of saying that in "enlightened" leftist Brazil, comedians will be sentenced to prison if dey dare to tell jokes about any humans.

Fortunately jokes about plankton and seaweed are still permitted--for now.

As if 8 years in prison wasn't enough, the lefitst shithead female judge also fined Lins about $50,000 for "moral damages."

Two years ago another Brazilian court ordered Lins to remove one of his standup routines from YouTube--claiming it was "offensive."  Lins said the ORDER "set a dangerous precedent for comedy and art in general."

This is what the bribem regime tried to do when it created the "Disinformation Governance Board," headed by the leftist nutjob Nina Janckowicz.

One of the ways freedom-loving people expose the evil of dictatorial governments (or judges) is by comedy, satire, ridicule--whatever you wanna call it.  So not surprisingly, one of the clearest signs of a dictatorial government (whether leftist or right) is that it makes such comedy "illegal," even though no actual laws say that.  See how well that works?

Of course it starts by regime judges decreeing RULES to "protect" sympathetic groups of people.  But that's just "the nose of the camel"--how the gruberment gets people to accept rules censoring speech--by punishing speech it doesn't like.

And the funny thing is...fewer than one American in 20 has the faintest idea what I'm talking about.

It's okay, folks.  Don't worry about it.  In fact, I just read a comment from a leftist bleating dat duh Trump regime haz been firing journalists."  Of course that's utter horseshit, but stupid, uninformed Dem voters believe it, so it might as well be true, eh?
