Another huge Dem grift: green scam outfit wired $651 Million in EPA grant to credit union accounts
Sub-head: EPA says it now has *no control over who gets that money or what they'll do with it
Expert says "It's just like a money laundering scheme"
March 7, 2025
Last year bribem's EPA gave a "green scam" group with the too-cute name "Inclusiv" $1.9 *billion,* as part of the Democrats' $27 billion Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund program.
In mid-February--just 3 weeks ago—Inclusiv wired $651 million of the $1.9 BILLION bribem gave 'em to 108 credit unions across 27 states and Puerto Rico. The group said the credit unions would use the funding "to offer financing for green energy projects such as solar installations and electric vehicle chargers."
Inclusiv wired the funds on the same day the new EPA administrator Lee Zeldin discovered that the Biden administration had parked $20 billion in Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund money in a bank widely reported to be Citibank.
That transfer made it impossible for the EPA to control who got the money and and what they'd use it for.
With the help of Trump's Department of Justice, the $20 BILLION was frozen, but Inclusiv had already wired the $651 million to the 108 credit unions.
Normally the EPA awards grants to the actual user, after evaluating competing applications for usefulness and likelihood of success. But with Inclusiv having wired the money to credit unions there's no way to track who'll get the $651 million or how those recipients will use the cash.
In effect, the Inclusiv transfer *gave* that money to credit unions in just 27 favored states, and they can use that cash to pad their balance sheets for as long as they want.
It's the latest sleazy deal to emerge from the bribem's EPA giving tax dollars from the "Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund" program. The new head of the EPA (Zeldin) has described the program as a "slush fund."
For young Americans, "slush fund" is a polite term for theft.
In April of last year (2024) bribem's EPA gave $20 billion to just eight nonprofit organizations—some of which had been formed for the sole purpose of receiving the funding.
Last August the president and CEO of "Inclusiv," Cathie Mahon, said "This award will enable us to direct grants and assistance to high-impact credit unions and cooperatives that create the conditions for an inclusive and equitable transition to a greening economy."
All the right buzzwords in one sentence: "equitable," "green economy" "high-impact credit unions," and of course, "inclusive."
According to an "investment strategy" document Inclusiv submitted to the EPA last year, the group intends to award $1.7 billion in "pass-through grants," apparently to the 108 credit unions. But what about the remaining $300 million? The document said Inclusive would use $187 million "to fund its own operations and technical assistance services." Wait, who do you claim you're giving "technical assistance services" to, and exactly what services do you provide? Who on your staff is proficient in, say, atmospheric physics or engineering?
And what about the other $113 million?
Democrat leaders: "Whut? Nah, bro, dat don' exist. Duh EPA grant to Inclusiv was probably only $1.9 billion, so dere's only $13 million not accounted for. Ain't worth spending the time to find out where it went.
A taxpayer gift of $2 BILLION is roughly 20 times more money than Inclusiv has previously handled. In 2023, Inclusiv reported $11.9 million in revenue and $10.1 million in expenses, according to the group's most recent tax filings.
"This is borderline fraudulent. It is just like a money laundering scheme," said Travis Fisher, the director of energy and environmental policy studies at the Cato Institute.
Inclusiv did not respond to a request for comment.
