In 1944, did demonstrators outside the White House demand a ceasefire?

To the people screaming that Israel needs to withdraw from Gaza and let Hamas fighters survive to fight another day:

The Japanese sneak attack at Pearl Harbor on Dec 7, 1941 killed 2,500 Americans.  At the time the U.S. population was 134 million.

America's response was to liberate every island in the Pacific, then begin bombing the Japanese home islands, killing an estimated 100,000 in Tokyo alone.

On July 26, 1945 the Democrat president of the U.S, along with our allies, demanded that Japan surrender "unconditionally," meaning that country would not be allowed to demand concessions by the victorious allies.

When Japan hadn't responded a week later, the U.S. president approved the dropping of an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, killing an estimated 100,000 people--almost all civilians.

When the government of Japan again didn't surrender unconditionally, two days after dropping the first bomb, Democrat FDR ordered a second atomic bomb to be dropped on Nagasaki, killing an estimated 80,000--again mostly civilians.

Even after those two horrific demonstrations, the top Japanese military generals--immersed all their lives in a never-surrender tradition--wanted to keep fighting.  But after the second city was incinerated by a single bomb, the emperor of Japan mustered the support of enough of his government to overrule the military.

Now:  Does anyone recall any reports of snowflakes screaming outside the White House a year after Pearl Harbor, demanding that after the U.S. had re-taken most of the islands Japan had taken early in the war, the U.S. announce a ceasefire, without defeating Japan?  I don't recall any such demonstrations, and you don't either.  Nothing like that happened.

Now: Israel has fewer than ten million people.  If you want to understand the impact of the murder of 1,200 Israelis out of ten million, by Hamas's sneak attack on October 7th, imagine that instead of 2,500 Americans killed at Pearl Harbor, 16,800 Americans had been killed.  That's the same percentage of Israelis killed on October 7th.

If Japan's sneak attack on Pearl Harbor had killed 16,800 Americans, can you imagine any "demonstrators" having the gall to demand that FDR declare a ceasefire after taking back the tiny islands in the Pacific?  Yet that's what the shrieking, screaming pro-Hamas "demonstrators" are demanding of Israel.  "Oooohh, you hit us back harder than we hit you!  Not fair!  You've killed innocent people!"

Hey Hamas goons, virtually all those you killed and kidnapped in your sneak attack were innocent to, eh?  "Innocent" didn't restrain you a bit then, did it?  But suddenly when your family members are being killed, innocence is a huge deal, eh?  You people must think everyone is dumb enough to buy the Democrats' double-standards in everything.

Or to use a more recent example: When four groups of Muslim suicidal ghouls hijacked four jetliners and crashed two into the World Trade Center and one into the Pentagon on 9/11, about 2,900 Americans were killed, out of a population of 287 million.

Now imagine if that attack had killed not 2,900 Americans, but 34,440.  That's the same proportion of the population as the 1,200 Israelis killed by the Hamas sneak attack of October 7th.

If the Muzz had killed 34,440 Americans on 9/11, can you even imagine anyone in America demanding the U.S. declare before killing everyone who had any part in those murders?

Now: I'm not Jewish, don't own property in Israel and don't have any financial ties, so I don't have a dog in this hunt.  But as a student of history, had I been running that nation I would have given the innocent civilian residents of the Gaza strip three days to evacuate, into the Sinai (promising Egypt X billion to feed and shelter 'em), then used just three small thermonuclear weapons to turn Gaza into glass.
"OOOhhh NOOooo," the Democrats would scream.  "You can't do that cuz it would start WW3!"  No, it wouldn't.  The major nuclear powers don't like Hamas or any of its terrorist offshoots, and wouldn't lift a finger.  The little mouthy shits like North Korea and Iran would bluster and bluff, but they'd know better than to try anything because Israel would already have shown it's serious about this shit.

What do ya suppose has changed since 1944 or so?

Answer: We are no longer being run by serious, competent people.  And Hamas supporters--like the entire world--know it.
