UPS announces small reduction in employees. But duh economy is still *booming*
United Parcel Service--UPS--has just announced they're laying off a few employees.
In this case "a few" is defined as 12,000.
The company blames a drop in package volume. Oh, and as a distant afterthought, having been forced to pay higher wages to members of the Teamsters' Union, who are now making $49 per hour not including benefits.
And by amazing coincidence, not a single one of the 12,000 fired workers will be a union member! Think that'll cause a big surge in union membership? And union dues? And union campaign donations to Democrats?
A few cynics suggested that declining package volume might imply a drop in economic health. But Democrats and "elites" quickly dismissed that as "crazy talk." The economy is absolutely booming, citizen. And if you say it's not, you're a dangerous right-wing extremist!
You don't want to get on that list, eh citizen?
My Democrat friends immediately countered that this story that 12,000 were being laid off was fake newz--just another lie by MAGAts (a play on "maggots," eh? So clever) to make people not vote for the brilliant Dem regime in November.
Darn, you got me! The story is totally...oh wait, it was reported by the NY Times, NBC, CNN, CNBC and Bloomberg. Say, you don't think ALL those faaabulously honest, unbiased sources have quietly joined the conservatives to criticize the regime, do ya?
