U.S. will pay over a TRILLION dollars just in *interest* on our vast debt in the next year.

In FY 2022 the government paid $717.6 BILLION in interest on our $33 TRILLION national debt.

In the FY that just ended Sept 30, we paid $879.3 billion, or over 22 percent more than just a year earlier.  Interest alone ate up about one-seventh of all federal expenditures.

Today it was announced that the estimated interest payments on the US government debt in the next 11 months will be over a TRILLION dollars. This figure--calculated from U.S. Treasury data--is up a staggering 39 percent from just two years ago.

What would happen to your life--and that of your family--if your expenses rose 39% in just two years?

If that doesn't bother you (and since you never heard about it, you couldn't be concerned, eh?), consider that the federal gruberment is looking at annual deficits of over a trillion dollars per YEAR forever, meaning the national debt will increase by that amount each year.

Equally catastrophic, we're having to pay higher interest rates every month on the billions the government borrows every month.

Both factors mean interest payments will take an ever-larger chunk of the federal budget.  But since congress refuses to cut spending, it will simply borrow whatever is needed to pay both the rising annual cost of government, and the skyrocketing interest cost--making the vast national debit rise even more quickly.

The problem is "going exponential."  If you're not familiar with math, an "exponential increase" means it's increasing ever faster each year--meaning implosion is just a few years away.  And as things stand now, there's no plausible way to prevent the implosion.  But you don't believe any of this, cuz duh Media has played this VERY softly, so the stock market won't crater.

Neither congress nor anyone in the biden/garland/mayorkas/buttigeig/granholm/blinken regime cares.  Instead everyone is ignoring the absolutely certain math and just "whistling past the graveyard."

Democrat: "Yo, don' worry 'bout dat, bro.  See, maff beez raaaacis!  Ain't no limit to how much we kin spen', cuz duh gummint jus' prints mo' cash!  Yep yep yep!"
