Dem mayor of New York city makes emergency aid request to state and biden regime due to "massive influx of asylum seekers"

As long as the illegal alien invaders stayed on the border of Texas, NM and Arizona, Democrats were fine with it.  But then Texas got smart and started busing 'em to NYC and DC.

And WOW!  Ssuddenly NOW at least the Democrats running NYC are starting to understand that feeding and housing lots of illegal aliens is...um...problematic.  The Dem mayor noted that 835 illegals--which he carefully called "asylum seekers"--arrived in his city on a single day last week.

So it's just AWFUL!  Straining city resources!

Hey, just so we're clear, the southern states are logging about 8,000 illegals walking across the border every DAY.  But that wasn't a problem, citizen, cuz it was far away and someone else's worry, eh?

So here's what the Dem mayor wrote:

Three months ago I spoke about the crisis of asylum seekers that has driven our shelter system to record levels and strained our city.  We are now seeing more people arrive than ever— averaging over 400 people each day this last week, with 835 asylum seekers arriving on one single day. All this is pushing New York City to the brink.

Since last spring the city has opened 74 emergency shelters and four humanitarian relief centers at breakneck speed, doing this almost entirely on our own.

We can't continue sheltering arriving asylum seekers on our own, so have submitted an emergency aid request to the State of New York.  We asked the state for support.

The absence of sorely needed federal immigration reform should not mean that this humanitarian crisis falls only on the shoulders of cities. 

Wait..."federal immigration reform" is Democrat code for open borders, which is what we have now.  So-called immigration "reform" will simply make the crisis permanent.  Adams knows that, but couldn't resist the chance to slap at the GOP.

We need support and aid from our federal and state partners and look forward to working together to meet this crisis head-on.

Have any other states asked for federal help to cover the cost of feeding and sheltering illegals?  Nope.  But the biden regime will give a BILLION taxpayer dollars--grabbed from workers in places like Iowa and Kansas--to NY state's Democrat governor.  Of that, 50% will go to NYC.

Of that amount, half will be used to pay salaries of city workers, and the remainder will go to paying 4-star hotels hundreds of dollars per room per night to shelter the illegals.  Hey, win-win, eh?

The only unknowns in this forecast are a) what cutesy acronym the Democrats will give the LAW that gives the billion to NY State; and b) what the regime will give Kevin McCarthy to get him to pass the LAW making all this legal.
