Big Democrat-ruled state passed a law REQUIRING cops to release *murderers* without bail

An Illinois bill signed into law by the corrupt Democrat governor, J.B. Pritzker, and taking effect Jan 1 of next year, DECREES that all Illinois police agencies must release everyone who's charged with second-degree murder, aggravated battery or arson without requiring them to post even a dollar of bail.

Like all Democrat con-jobs, this law is cunningly mis-named the "SAFE-T Act," so that the average voter will think it somehow increases their safety.  This is a brazen lie.  In reality the new LAW will allow thugs who commit any of 12 crimes--including second-degree murder, aggravated battery, arson, "drug-induced murder," kidnapping, burglary, robbery, intimidation, aggravated DUI and selling any amount of illegal drugs--to be immediately released without having to post bail.

Among many other ghastly problems, this will enable released thugs to kill witnesses.

The "State’s Attorney" for a county adjoining Chitcongo, James Glasgow, said the law will be a total disaster.”  He said legislators only had two days to read the bill's 800 pages before voting on it, and didn’t understand what the bill contained.

If you think what you've read is horrible enough, there's more:  It also bars cops from even arresting thugs accused of trespassing.  So if armed thugs invade your home, the cops can give 'em a ticket but can't remove the thugs from your home.

And it gets worse: Glasgow said on Jan 1 the new law would force his county's jail to release 640 people currently held—including 60 people charged with murder.

How does an insane bill like this get passed?  Answer: Because it's pushed by corrupt Democrats, like the ones running the "Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority," a state agency that claims it's "dedicated to improving the administration of criminal justice," supposedly by making it "efficient, effective, and equitable."

Here's how that agency describes the new law:

The "SAFE-T Act" enacts extensive *reform* impacting many areas of the criminal justice system, including pre-arrest diversion, policing, pretrial, sentencing, and corrections, as well as leading and serving on task forces. This article highlights areas of the Act [and] ICJIA’s roles in the bill....

Seventy lines of text later we finally see a three-word entry: "Abolishes cash bail."

Note the corruptocrats who wrote the bill do NOT say it "Abolishes cash bail for minor crimes."  So what crimes could a thug commit after next January 1 and be allowed to walk out of jail without posting any bond or bail AT ALL?

How about arson when people were in the building he set on fire?  How about attempted murder?  How about *actual* murder that the killer's attorney claims was "drug-induced"?  But the SUMMARY of the bill doesn't mention these serious crimes.  So anyone reading the summary would imagine "Abolishes cash bail" would be for minor crimes like drug possession.  Nope.

So stupid or lazy or corrupt legislators, and the corrupt Democrat governor, Pritzker, have passed a new law allowing people charged with those crimes to walk out without posting bail.

How does that "improve the administration of criminal justice  by making it efficient, effective, and equitable," eh?

Clearly it does no such thing.  So why did the legislature pass it, and why did the corrupt governor sign it into law?

I'll tell you part of it--though you won't believe me.

My father was brilliant:  Engineering degree, test pilot, attorney, international oil exec... and out of a sense of duty, took two years off to become the only Republican elected to our state senate.  He said most of the men there (no women back then) were nice enough, but were the dumbest sons of bitches he'd ever met.  He joked that they were so dumb they'd try to repeal the law of gravity.  So that's the first reason why legislatures are so incompetent.

Second reason: Legislators almost never draft bills themselves, because it's a pain.  Instead the broad goals of bills are drafted by lobbyists and special-interest groups, then massaged into absolutely inpenetrable legalistic bureau-babble by staffers.  Try reading an actual law sometime--like Obozo's so-called "Affordable Care Act, for example--and you'll instantly see what I mean.

So when corrupt staffers presented an 800-page bill to the none-too-bright Illinois legislators, it's virtually certain that not one of 'em actually read the damn thing.

Nevertheless, they voted for it--because the cunning "activist" staffers at the agency that drafted it claimed it would...wait for it..."improve the administration of criminal justice  by making it efficient, effective, and equitable."

Seriously, this is how the system works.  And it's even worse in DC, where society-wrecking bills often run 1,200 pages or more.  (One recent one ran 1,500 pages!)

No senator or congresswhore reads the damn bills they vote for.  Often the "leadership" only presents the final bill a day or two before the "leaders" call for a floor vote, making it even less likely that anyone will have time to read it.

Even Dem members who've been informed that there's a total disaster hidden in the bill know that if they break Democrat "party discipline" by voting against it, they won't get meaningful money from the party's "national committee" for re-election.

The system is so cunningly rigged that Democrat "leaders" have even designed an exception to the rule just noted: members who face a tough re-election fight will ask party "leaders" for permission to vote against a prized Democrat bill, and if the Dem leaders know they have a more votes than needed to assure passage they'll allow the requesting member to vote against the bill so the member can appear to be more centrist to voters, to help win re-election.  Too clever, eh?

Are you starting to see why government is shit yet?

Nah, you aren't.  Because you don't believe any of that.

Stupid, stupid, sheep.  Gullible.  "Hey, it's none of my business," eh?

Or "I can't do anything about it, so why should I get involved," eh?

Do you have any idea of the fate to which your carelessness is consigning your children and grandchildren?

Apparently you don't.
