Judge takes 12-year-old daughter away from mom after ex claims mom was opposed to daughter going tranny

The court system in this country has gone so woke that a judge in Illinois removed a 12-year-old girl from her mother's home because the divorced dad claimed the girl wanted to change genders and that the mom was opposed.

Naturally you can't believe that.  You can't believe any judge would take a girl away from her mother--awarding sole custody to the divorced father--for the reason noted above, right?

I see you don't pay attention to current events.  In which case you deserve everything that's coming.

Distraught and desperate to see her daughter, the mother put aside her beliefs and wrote her daughter a three-page "affirmation letter," addressed to her daughter’s new chosen (male) name, “Ash.”

“I had forced my brain to accept the reality that was presented to me,” the mother said. “I thought that’s what I was supposed to do.”

Not only did the letter fail to bring her daughter back; the mother was told that she shouldn’t have written at all. “I didn’t understand that,” said the mother. “And that kind of woke me up to what was really happening.”

The mother said she realized her ex-husband's new wife--a licensed psychotherapist--had encouraged the daughter to use the tranny issue to get the court to award sole custody to the father, under the guise of “saving” the daughter by letting her change genders.

Under the temporary court order issued after the daughter first claimed to be transgender, the mother was only allowed to see her daughter if she attended "reconciliation family therapy," which  required that the ex-husband’s new "licensed psychotherapist" wife be included.

The mother objected to this, but the new wife--who, keep in mind, was a "licensed psychotherapist"--  told the mother that if she didn’t consent she wouldn’t be able to see her daughter.

Ironically, three years later the daughter--who was supposedly chomping at the bit to go tranny--still presents as feminine, and always has—but goes by the name “Ash” and says her preferred pronouns are "xe, xyr and xyrs."

But there's an even more ironic twist to this story: The mother--who describes herself as a "career educator"--is a total leftist (surprise) who has always supported all the destructive but trendy causes of the Left.  She just never even thought about the possibility that her delusions could ever result in her losing custody of her daughter, which happened when her ex-husband's new "licensed psychotherapist" wife told him how he could use the forces she and her leftist friends unleashed against the mom to win sole custody of their daughter.

So is this an example of "the law of unintended consequences," or is it better described as karma?
