Wow, did ya see that faaaabulous jobs report that just came out today! Economy booming! Wait...what?

Hey, didja hear the good news, citizen?  The monthly jobs report came out this morning, and the biden economy added a fabulous 210,000 new jobs!

Isn't that faabulous?  Biden's policies--Democrat policies--are so brilliant!  Let's all applaud, citizens.

Wait...what?  Y'say this magnificent number isn't quite as magnificent as it sounds?  How can dat be?

Well...historically, the Christmas season accounts for about a third of annual retail sales.  So starting in early November retailers historically have started hiring to prepare for the Christmas rush.  So based on the record of previous years, economists expected a few more jobs should have been added.

Wait...what's your definition of "a few more"?  How many new jobs did the experts predict?  

"Gosh, I don't have that figure right now, senator, but I'll find it and get back to you next week."

That's okay, Ms. Psaki.  We don't need you to tell us how great your boss is, cuz we can use a thing called "the internet" to find what's really going on for ourselves.  

And whoa, that didn't take long!  Turns out some experts predicted 550,000 new jobs should have been added.  Meaning the actual 210,000 number was a total disaster.

But despite the disaster, the *official* unemployment rate somehow--magically--managed to *drop* from 4.6% to 4.2%, which the Mainstream Media assures us is "the lowest level since the pandemic began."

Wait...official reports say there are 3.9 million *fewer* Americans working now than there were last February.  So how can the unemployment rate be "the lowest level since the pandemic began," eh?  

Something stinks here.  You don't suppose the "official" unemployment rate is bullshit, do ya, citizen?  

And sure enough...turns out the "official unemployment rate" only counts people who were "actively looking for work in the last two weeks."  If someone is unemployed but not actively looking, they don't count.  Clever, eh?

"Noooo, dat not possible!  Our gruberment would never lie to us!  Biden tells da troof!  Kamala tells da troof!  Psaki tells da troof!  Only peeps who be lyin' be dem awful conservatives, cuz dey tryin' ta hurt our wunnerful preznit!  We Dems be richer den evah!  Psaki say so!  Psaki say we got lotsa cash, so we gonna go buy tings!  Economy great!"

Just keep telling yourself, "Lowest unemployment level since the pandemic began."

Any day now I expect we'll see the Media telling us "Biden/Democrat policies produce lowest unemployment rate EVER!!!"
