Leftist MSM website uses normal leftist technique to slander conservative congressman w/o fear of being sued
While some leftist politicians are dumb as rocks, some Leftists in the Mainstream Media are quite cunning. So instead of posting a tweet or piece saying, for example,
"Conservative congressman X is a pedophile,"
cunning leftists publish a headline saying
"[Name of source] SAYS conservative congressman X is a pedophile."
Brilliant, eh? They get to make their likely-slanderous claim without having to worry about being sued by the person they slandered. It's brilliant.
So now that you know the trick, let's see a real-life example, from MSN just 3 days ago. Here's the headline of their hit-piece:
Note the quotes around the first line. There's the "We're simply quoting some blogger who posted this, so you can't sue us! Neener neener neener!"
Following the Left's "flood the zone" playbook, MSN also hit Twatter with this tweet (since deleted):
Wow. And again, note the careful, legally-insulating quotes around the first phrase.
Now, I'm not particularly a fan of Gaetz, but this technique the Left repeatedly uses to slander conservatives without fear of being sued has to go.
For those who aren't political junkies, the Mainstream Media used this exact technique to get the false, slanderous contents of the fake "Trump dossier" into the spotlight: They quoted a crappy leftist blogger, so they couldn't be sued.
